"It takes grace to remain kind in cruel situations."

_ _ _ _________ _ _ _

A loud gasp escaped my lungs as I rose up. Sweat poured out of my pores like waterfalls and I felt like a hundred hammers were pounding against my head.

I looked at my surroundings with wide eyes as I trembled.

Where am I?

I was laying on top of a bed with soft sheets, in a room made out of wood. It smelled like pine.

In the far left corner, a figure was slumped in a chair, hood pulled over his hair and white mask reflecting the moonlight.

That was the moment I remembered what had happened before I had passed out. I could still feel the cold blood splashing on my clothes and the foul smell burning my nose. I looked at Dream again, remembering the big gash on his arm.

Standing up slowly, I groaned as I started feeling lightheaded and nauseous. I stumbled my way across the room before I fell onto my knees infront of Dream.

Even breathes escaped his mouth as he slept peacefully and that although his body was twisted into uncomfortable direstions.

My eyes wandered down to his arm which was hanging down limply. I cringed at the messy bandage around it. Blood leaked through the bandage and I was sure that he didn't clean the wound. Judging from the little pool of blood on the floor, he must've passed out from blood loss.

Sighing, I wrapped my arm around his waist before lifting him up. I stumbled as I tried picking up his huge figure. It took all my energy to not fall down as I carried him to the other side of the room and onto the bed.

Laying him down as gently as possible, I sighed as I tried to regain my breath.
My hands brushed against his arm slightly as I hesitated.

C'mon Eleanor.

He saved your life multiple times.

Touching his arm won't kill you.

Eventually, I started unwrapping the bandage as carefully as possible.

A nasty gash wound revealed itself as I cringed at the familliar smell of blood. I looked around again as I searched for my backpack, knowing that I always kept a first aid kit in it.

Walking over, I grabbed my backpack silently as I took out a bottle of water, a dry towel and the kit.

I started by cleaning the wound with the water and towel, earning a few grunts and whines from his unconcious body. I kept glancing at him, checking if he was still asleep.

Now the hard part.

I chewed at the insides of me cheek as I took out a bottle of rubbing alcohol, a needle and the matching string.

Opening the bottle, I closed my fist in fear before I poured some of it over his arm.

His figure stiffened before he relaxed again, still unconsious from the bloodloss.

I felt like I was infront of a ticking bomb as I treated his wound.

Exhaling in relief, I grabbed the needle before slowly nearing his wound. I tried to be as gentle as possible while I sewed up the wound.

He didn't budge even once.

I finished off by grabbing clean bandages and redressing his wound. I looked at my neat work with satisfaction before my gaze wandered to his green hoodie.

The hoodie was torn, dirty and also covered in blood from other injuries.

Should I?

I fiddled with my hands nervously before I decided to go against my discomfort. I wrapped my hands around his torso before making him sit up and leaning his back against the headboard.

Making sure that he was comfortable, I bit my lip as I thought about my next steps.
Shaking my head, I crawled onto the bed before I took hold of his hoodie and pulled it over his head. I blushed at the closeness and and let out a sigh of relief when I was finished.

I backed away qickly before fanning myself with my hand.

I winced at the many cuts and bruises on his torso. Grabbing the bottle of rubbing alcohol again, I treated the last few wounds before laying him down again and wrapping the blanket around him, turning him into a human burrito.

I cleaned up everything before draping the chair across the room and sitting down with a big thump.

Where are we?

I just realized that I didn't have the slightiest bit of knowledge of where we are. Standing up again, I headed towards the door as I opened it slowly, remembering what had happened the last time I swung a door open with full force.

I finally swung it open and shivered when a cold gust of wing greeted my whole body. I looked around before turned back to the door.

'gogys hobbit house'

What the hell is a Gogy?

And what is a hobbit house?

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I walked back inside again when feeling the cold air creeping into my clothes

I jumped in shock when I saw Dream as he sat up while grabbing his head in pain and groaning. His body stiffened before he looked at me with his mouth agape in shock.

"I passed out?",
he asked me, his voice rough and raspy from just waking up.

I nodded before biting my lip nervously and avoiding his eyes. He looked down at himself as he realized that his upperbody was exposed. He looked at the bandages before realizing that that was my work.

Standing up quickly, he groaned as he stumbled to his backpack and pulled out another clean green hoodie.

Really?

He let out a sharp exhale as he looked back at me again.

"I fell asleep?!",
he asked me again, voice loud with rage.

I nodded again, genuinely confused at his sudden outburst.

"How could I?",
he scoffed at himself.

"We were both in danger and I fell asleep.",
he exclaimed again in disbelief.

I stepped in quickly.

"Dream it's okay! Nothing happened.",
I tried reassuring him as he walked in circles while mumbling incorhent words.

"Dream!",
I screamed, finally getting his attention.

He halted in his step as he looked at me again.

"It's fine.",
I repeated with a calmer voice.

"We're both safe because of you. You saved us. Nothing happened.",
I looked at him with a calm expression.

Dream started trembling as his breathes qickened.

"N-No. Th-There were so many zombies after us. You were in danger and I c-couldn't pro-",
he stuttered as he felt shame cursing through his veins, making him feel miserable.

He was cut off by me grabbing his shoulders as I pulled him down onto my height before hugging him warmly.

"It's fine.",
I whispered the soft words into his ear, remembering the night I woke up in the cave, trembling from a nightmare.

He did the same.
He embraced me and kept whispering these words into my ear the same way I was doing right now.

His stiff body relaxed before he returned the hug, sighing in relief.

He's like a big baby.
