"Run"
I didn't know what was coming for us.
It could be a wild animal or maybe this was a prank.I didn't know.
But still, the word seemed dangerous coming from him.
I mean...he was literally covered in blood.
But little did I know, it was something way more dangerous.
"W-What do you mean, "run" ?", Wilbur asked with confusion written all over his face.
The man in the lab coat let out a whine before he looked back at the path he came from before he looked at us again.
"They're coming!", and he disappeared.
We looked at him with shock as he limped away, leaving a trail of blood behind him.
What the -
And then, we finally heard it.
Groans and moans, followed by a few grunts and animalistic snarls.
The both of us looked to the front again, only to be met by a sight that you couldn't imagine in your worst dreams.
Ripped clothes and bodies. Black and sticky skin. The creatures had white empty eyes and blood running out of their mouths as the headed towards us, in a pace faster than my liking.
Zombies?
No-
Something worse than that.
I didn't know what to do.
Run?
Sounds like a good idea.
I wasted no time in grabbing Wilburs hand before dragging him into a sprint.
My heart pounded and I started sweating like a dog.
I was beyond terrified.
Tears of fear coated my eyes as I thought about the creatures who were hot on our trail.
I didn't dare to turn around to look at how close they were.
I could hear them.
And they were very close.Wilbur had longer legs, which made him take the lead. I tried my best to keep up with his pace, but I couldn't.
Without him noticing, our hands disconnected. I tried screaming his name, but I was left desperate as no sound escaped my throat.
I can't
breathe-
My legs were sore and my body started burning from the running.
My brother had created a good distance as his figure slowly started to disappear in the fog that covered the mountains.
I was about to collapse from exhaustion.
"Run into the forest."
I looked at to my right. Big and thick trees invaded my sight.
Sucking in a harsh breath, I turned right and entered the dark forest.I was beyond exhausted.
I was slowing down.
Looking back, I was met with the horrific sight of them only a few feet behind me.
