Nomadic Hearts

Two souls that touch,
But never really meet,
Two hearts that yearn,
But never are complete.

Wandering halves,
Craving to be whole.
Trusting in destiny,
Accepting no control.

Hoping, praying,
Relying on faith,
To eventually encounter,
Their one true soul mate.

Going through a doorway,
Passing in the street,
The moment when eyes connect,
Your hearts skip a beat.

A courteous hand on her back,
Sending tingles down her spine,
Wondering what he's like,
And thinking "He will be mine!"

As she nonchalantly glides past,
He's filled with her musky scent,
Thinking, "I will have this woman!"
His mind is hell-bent.

These solitary encounters,
Are not something to ignore,
You can't always rely on destiny,
To turn it into something more.

I don't know how it works,
I'm just the poet,
But when you do find true love,
I am sure you'll know it!

Wait, that's no way to end my poem,
Disregard the verse above,
Both are thinking about having sex,
But it could turn into making LOVE!
