(As Silent Memories Restore)
As I lay here on the brink of sleep,
My mind wanders to distant places,
Memories of the ocean waves,
Full hearts, smiling faces.
A cool breeze lying on the beach,
You beside me drinking in the moment,
Waves gently caressing the horizon,
So at one in my content.
The orange hue of a summer evening,
Sunlight painting the crescent wave,
Soft lips kiss my naked skin,
Till the sun sinks to a watery grave.
As I stir in my bed,
You gently blow upon my face,
Run your fingers through my hair,
Massage my head in that special place.
Drifting back to a peaceful slumber,
Invisible kisses help me ignore,
It's one year ago since I lost you,
Now, just ghostly ASMR.
