The life we have is given to us,
Borrowed from an unknown place.
If not used to do wonderful things,
Will disappear without a trace.

So use it wisely and fill each moment,
Never let an experience go untasted.
Drink from every cup, eat from every banquet,
Before it's too late, and your chances are wasted.

She can be your best friend one minute,
A cruel bitch the next.
She waits for no one,
Referred to as she, but only in context.

But time is the bitter truth in your life,
So live in the now and forget the when.
A short moment lived is a memory for ever.
And when shared can besmirch what is written.

Destiny is an inevitable thing,
And our expectancies may lack.
But for that one final journey,
The life received has to be given back.
