Was the life I had just a dream?
A fleeting neutral impulse in some stranger's mind.
Bold and extraordinary for a moment,
Erased, disbanded, forgotten upon waking.
Or did I live my life and have now moved on?
But remain in some subconscious state.
A drifter between different planes.
Alone and invisible to the naked eye.
Was the existence I had surrendered willingly?
Or was it taken from me in some violent, malicious act?
I have no memory of a former life,
Only this present state of nothingness.
Do I crave an existence trapped,
Imprisoned behind bone and tissue.
Married to mortality for an instant.
Chained to inevitability?
No!
