Ace POV
The more Angel talked, the more my hellhound seeped out, wanting to make things right. Killer and I weren't happy when she admitted to having his location, and I couldn't understand why she would give him any power. Or the power to affect her the way he does.
She didn't. Tank took it for himself, needing power and control to feel bigger than he was accomplishing it with fear. I use fear, but never against women. That's a line I will never cross.
I'm not proud of who I've become, but when we find Tank, I will unleash hell. For Angel.

A small group of high-ranking Riders met to figure out our next move. "We know where the traitor is hiding thanks to Tiger," Killer coolly stated.
I refused to let Angel out of my arms, and as she sat on my lap, she rubbed small circles on my lower abdomen. If I wasn't angry, I'd probably be turned on. But the fear she lives in because of him drove my hellhound to the surface.
"We need to come up with a plan. It needs to be quick, clean, and done tonight. Understood?" he stated. Everyone nodded, understanding the importance.
Angel's leg bounced uncontrollably under the table as stress and anxiety ate away at her. I glanced at her and saw her wheels turning as she stared into space, probably ten steps ahead, working out all the possibilities.
"What are you thinking in there?" I asked, nodding her head.
She took a deep breath, weighing her choices. "I... If you want information, I can help. By now the Italians know something's wrong because they're quiet, and so is Tank. But do we want to go now or wait?" Angel posed.
"What do you mean, wait? We need to act now before this shit gets even more out of hand!" Blade shouted, standing.
A low growl left my mouth as I moved Kaitlyn off my lap and stood up to face Blade. There is no reason for him to speak to her that way, and I refuse to let him either. But a small hand squeezed mine and tugged me back down.
"Well," she said, leaning forwards, asserting herself. "If we wait, and he contacts our traitor, we kill two birds with one stone. I'm not saying we drag this out, but let's work smarter, not harder. Or we go now, and I get the answers we need."
Angel turned to me, and I stood still, with fists at my side, afraid to touch her and hurt her accidentally. Her green eyes met mine, and she whispered, "I know you don't want me near him, but it's our best option, and you know it. He can't hurt me anymore; I won't give him that power."
Fuck no! You are going nowhere near that asshole!
If I had it my way, Angel wouldn't leave our room until everything was over, but that isn't my decision to make.
"Your call, Prez," I bit out, wishing it wasn't.
Killer's eyebrows furrowed just as his sister did when deep in thought. He weighed out the options, not wanting to endanger his family, but knowing we needed answers.
"We ride tonight," he declared, then looked at Kaitlyn. "I trust you, and I will not stop you from protecting this family, but if we are uncomfortable, you will leave without question. You may have started alone, but you're not alone anymore," he assured her, and she agreed.
Killer stared at me, knowing tonight he needs my hellhound. Needing my demons to take hold of me to keep his sister safe. As the club's enforcer and Kaitlyn's protector, I will do whatever it takes to keep everyone safe. Even if it means becoming the one thing I can't control.
We concluded the meeting, and I could see worry and fear for our safety written all over Kaitlyn's face. I led her to the kitchen, giving her space from the others and time to process. I leaned against the counter, watching her open the fridge and close it again with a sigh.
She hopped up on the counter next to me. Leaning on me, she whispered, "Promise me you won't do anything stupid. I know I can't go with you, but he can be unpredictable, and I don't want you to get hurt."
Kissing her head, I pulled her closer. "Angel, for once in my life, I have a reason to come home. If I do something stupid, you have my permission to reprimand me." I smiled.
She pulled away with fire in her eyes. "Last I checked, I didn't need your permission, and I never will. Trust me, if you come home all banged up and in pain, Doc can patch you up after I'm done with you," she challenged.
It's impossible for Angel to physically hurt me, but she knows how to inflict pain. A pain I pray to never experience. If I come home with even a scratch on me, I will be in a world of hurt.
We grabbed some snacks and headed upstairs to watch a movie before I had to leave. As we watched the movie, Angel remained stiff against me, her heart rate and mind never slowing. Sleep won't come easily for her tonight, but I want her to relax.
I paused the movie and planted kisses on her neck. Kaitlyn inhaled sharply and leaned back, pushing into me.
Distract her. Give her what she needs.
"Go get ready for bed," I whispered, squeezing her hips. She nodded and crawled off the bed.
I watched her attempt to get ready for bed, but she struggled to concentrate on one task long enough. Discarding my shirt and jeans, trading them for sweats, I walked into the bathroom, but Kaitlyn didn't notice. Moving her hair, I kissed her neck, sending goosebumps across her skin, and her eyes closed. I picked her up and carried her to bed.
"Lay on your stomach, Angel," I said, smiling.
A smile tugged at the corners of Angel's mouth, and she shed her bra and glasses before laying down. I watched her body mold on the bed. Her breasts and hips hugged the bed closely, her legs sprawled out, and her hair spilling over her bare shoulder. My cock twitched at the sight, and I wanted her.
Fuck, I said I would wait, and I will, but she's making it difficult. Unknowingly turning me on with every little thing she does. The cold showers help, but not enough...
Taking deep breaths, I kept my hands at my side until my desires were under control. Climbing onto the bed, I straddled Kaitlyn, applying slight pressure to her hips, and she moaned. She gave me a sleepy smile as I planted kisses along her spine, causing her to tense. Small noises escaped her mouth, making concentrating on the task difficult.
After littering every inch of her soft skin with kisses, I worked her shoulders and lower back until her breathing evened out and her body turned to putty. Looking down, Angel's eyes were closed, and her soft breathing told me she was asleep.
I placed one last kiss on her lips, pulled the covers over her, and got dressed. Tiny leaned against the wall outside the room. "Keep your eyes on the fucking door," I growled.
Glancing one last time at Kaitlyn, I nodded to Tiny before heading downstairs. Nothing will stop me from coming home to Angel, and hopefully, I will be back before she notices.
