24. Queen of Mean Pt.2

"Please don't do this Claire!"

The Queen swirled her hand around the silver scepter, playing with the purple magic radiating off the large beating purple crystal. She ignored the cries of her hostage who helplessly sat on the ground, trapped by one of The Queen's spells.

"Don't worry Alya. I'm not gonna hurt you, I've always liked you. They just need a little push."

The Queen kneeled to Alya and pressed her two fingers against her forehead lightly. Alya knew Claire would never intentionally hurt her, but she was still afraid. The Queen of Mean was the strongest villain Ladybug and Chat Noir had faced yet.

"Claire. Look, I feel terrible for what Marinette did tonight. But I promise you she never meant to hurt you."

Alya muttered, sending a rush of anger on the The Queens face. She approached the helpless girl and pointed the scepter at Alya.

"DON'T!"

Alya flinched, as the Queen quickly appeared in front of her. Alya held her breath and ached as The Queen poked the sharpest point of the scepter against her chest.

"Forgive me, Alya. But you shall not make excuses for Marinette any longer."

The Queen pulled her scepter back, before inflicting any more pain on Alya. She waved her scepter in the air and the two teleported on the highest platform of the Eiffel Tower.

"Now then, shall we get started?"

"We don't even know where she is Chat! We need a plan!"

Ladybug yelled out as Chat Noir stared out on the streets of Paris. He wanted to go out and save Claire already, but Ladybug forbids him to. Luka, now referred to as Riptide, was kneeling down on the roof with his head facing down to the ground.

She must be feeling so much hurt. So much heartbreak. All I want to do is to make her smile again. My poor Claire, she deserves better than what she's received.

Riptide was abruptly shaken by Ladybug who had a concerned look on her face. He looked up at the red masked hero and formed a small smile on his face.

"I know you're worried about your friend. But I promise you we will save her. But right now we need to focus."

Suddenly Chat Noir screamed and was aching on the ground. Ladybug and Riptide ran to his aid, not knowing what was happening to the cat.

"Chat Noir! What's happening?"

The immense pain in his head grew as his thoughts became invaded by a fiery villain.

"Does it hurt my love? Does your headache hurt with pain? You broke my heart Adrien, you left me in tears while you were with her! Now you will understand my love. Now you'll understand."

The Queen's message echoed in Chat Noir's mind, it grew louder and louder. His cries became more apparent and Ladybug tried to comfort him but was struck by the immense pain appearing in her head causing her to fall down next to him.

"Ladybug!"

Riptide ran to her aid, before being struck by the pain being caused in his head. Soon everyone in Paris would feel the same fate.

"I am the Queen of Mean. I mean no harm to the Parisians, all I want is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Marinette meet me at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower. Come alone and we will discuss the fate of our love sick triangle. And Marinette, if you cared at all about the lives of your fellow Parisians you will oblige."
