It's been eight years since I've last seen my mate. The only thing telling me he's alive is the fact that I can feel every time he's hurt, and that I get an update about him once a week. He said he would visit me from time to time, but I guess that was just a lie. I finished my education in my prison, only let out of my bare room to do work or if I swore that I wouldn't leave the house.

Warrior seems to have given up on me, always gone for weeks at a time and only coming back to check up on me. My biological family has adjusted to keeping me a secret and keeping me and my siblings safe, but I know that they hate every time my guards bring in an animal for me to drink from.

The only time I'm let outside, is for training and sometimes they let me hunt for myself so I get fresh, warm blood. Speaking of, I've won myself a free day out of my prison to just watch TV and hopefully catch glimpses of my mate. My door clicks open, Sahara flashing me a smile.

My siblings went for a small trip back to the Palace, Fleet agreeing of course, so they can take a break away from this boring life. And they also did it for my benefit, going to get something of Fleet's so I can get some sleep for once.

I walk out into the living room, teleporting some candy from a distant store to here and leaving a twenty dollar bill on their counter as I slump onto the couch and turn on the news. All it's talking about is how I disappeared eight years ago today, and that the war should hopefully end soon.

A lot of people joined the rebellion, saying that we should be overthrown since we didn't do a whole lot in the public's eye. I feel pain around my neck, and I cough for air as I feel him being choked. I gasp in air as he gets the person off him. My family knows what's happening, only giving me concerned looks before looking away and talking amongst themselves.

The front door opens, and I smell Lake and two unfamiliar scents entering the house. I launch to my feet with a small growl, going invisible as they come into view. I sneak up to Lake, leaning close to his ear and eyeing the two guys beside him warily. "Who said you could bring people into our house?" I growl, he jumps slightly and clenches his jaw.

"Tanya, Fleetwood approved for them to come. You can be visible now." He says loudly, turning towards where he thinks I'm standing. I pop back into view with a growl, glaring at the two startled men. They drop down into deep bows.

"Your Majesty. I didn't know you were staying here." The one on the right states shocked, I sigh and cross my arms.

"One, don't call me that. My name is Tanya. Second, I've been living here for eight years. Third, when the hell did Fleetwood call you? He never talks to me, his mate, but he has time to talk to you and everyone else besides me!" I growl, my eyes flashing red from my anger as I turn to Lake. The men slowly get back to their feet, backing away and shrieking when my wings stretch out around me.

Lake gazes at me, uninterested. "I talked to him today. He approved my friends to come over since this is my house and I should be able to live my life." He dismisses me. I snarl, launching myself on him and pinning him to the ground.

"This is ridiculous! I'm done sitting on the sidelines. Tell the guards I've left to fight and none of you will stop me if you know what's good for you." I growl, baring my wolf fangs at Lake. He just chuckles darkly, glaring at me.

"Good. Don't let your 'siblings' come back!" He spits, I snarl and slap him. Ever since he found out about my siblings, he's been pissed that I call them that. And he hates everything about my mate and the family that raised me. He throws a punch, but I duck and accidentally knee him in the balls. I stand up, my power so strong it takes over me with a blinding black light.

It travels over my body, clearing a few seconds later and showing off a black dress with red accents and lace down my arms. Despite it's appearance, I know it's armor. I flap my wings, lifting off the ground. "Sahara, I love you. I'll miss you, and if my siblings do make it back here please keep them safe. Uncles, I love you too. Please don't send the guards after me. I'm an adult who can take care of herself. I'm twenty one years old." I flash them a smile, blowing them a kiss and launching out the windows.
