Chapter Four (Edited)

I woke up and rubbed my eyes, "Tanya, are you hungry for breakfast? Feef is at a meeting right now, so I get to babysit you!" Lillyfly asked me. I nodded as she picked me up and helped me into some flexible clothes, she then carried me into the kitchen. I watched at the table as she made eggs and bacon. 

I ate silently when an idea came into my head, I smiled at her using my little kid charms like my older brother taught me to. "Willyfly, will yew pwease teach me to fwight wike yew?" I asked with my puppy eyes and two year old voice. Lillyfly sighed and looked around in worry, twisting her hands.

"Look, Tanya... Feef won't like that. I can't make him mad at me." Lillyfly said with fear and worry.

"Pwease? It will tweach me to dwyfend me." I used the same thing my brother used when he wanted to go into boxing, she glanced around again. 

"When you are eight, I promise." Lillyfly said, I pouted but nodded. We watched cartoons and snacked until Feef came in with Annie, they came over to us. I jumped off the couch and into his arms, snuggling into his chest. 

"Feef!" I yelled, he chuckled and held me in his arms. 

"Tanya, Annie here will be your personal guard starting today. She will protect you when we can't, okay?" He asked, I nodded with a tiny frown. 

"Why I nweed a bwodygurd?" I asked, he smiled. 

"I want you to be safe, little moon." He cooed, I leaned my head on his shoulder.

"Aww! I love her already! Don't worry, King. I'll protect her with my life." Annie said to Feef, why did she call him King? I yawned as I was handed over to Annie. 

"I'll be back, I need to do some errands. Annie is in charge of you while I'm gone." Feef told me before leaving again. I was sad he was leaving, but he's been gone all day already. I leaned my head on Annie's shoulder, closing my eyes tiredly.

"Hey, sweetie. Do you want to sleep?" She asked me, I nodded so she took me to my room. She stood beside me as I fell asleep, humming a song that I didn't know the words to.

Fleetwood's POV

She was so beautiful, just sleeping there even though hours before we were attacked. She must have been so tired, from what I heard she used a really old piece of magic to bring someone's sanity back or their full self back. She might not be human, I'll have to use my sources to find out. Someone knocked on the door, I inwardly sighed. 

Why does everyone have to take me from my precious little moon. I silently darted to the door and opened it, it was Dylan and the twins. "It's eight, you promised Maryanne that you would let her explain then." John informed me, I nodded. 

"Alright, send Lilly and Katherine to watch over her. Also, I have an assignment for you three." I told them seriously as I closed the door behind me, in King mode.

"I need you to go through Tanya's family line and find out what she is, from what I heard... she used ancient magic that was supposed to have been lost long ago." I ordered, they nodded. 

"Yes, King. We'll leave in a few hours." They bowed their heads to me and quickly left because we stopped in front of my office. I headed in,  squaring my shoulders.

"Maryanne." I nodded to her as I sat. She sat down, her face filled with anxiety.

"I'm from the Blood Pack, we reside in Dakota. I went rogue because my mate was killed. I've been a rogue for five years." She recited quickly, fear in her eyes.

I should tell her about me, "Maryanne, this is a war for me to become King and rule over all species. My goal is for all of us to work and live peacefully, so as a guard and warrior. I need you to set an example." I said, Maryanne nodded. "Good, now I want you to be Tanya's personal bodyguard." I informed her, she perked up and nodded with a smile. 

I led her out and explained as best as I could to little Tanya, she frowned and I could tell she was sad that I was leaving but I had to. I had a lot of work to get done and many negotiations to start. Being King could benefit humans and creatures alike, I just had to get there.
