The picture above is what Tanya's wings look like, but the body isn't her.

I stare up at the white ceiling, my black wings spread out underneath me. I sit up, stretching them as boredom overcomes me. My hands absentmindedly drifted to my soft-feathered wings, playing with them gently as my mind once again drifts back to the war that's starting.

I wonder if he's okay. I would know if he got hurt. Right? That's part of the matebond. I think.

I flap my wings slowly, a stab of pain in my gut halts my movements. I gasp in horror, he's been stabbed. I feel it again. The matebond. Taking over.

Anger rips through me, my wings flapping quickly as I fly to the wall. My powers roar into use, electricity playing at my fingers and dancing in my black hair as I scream in rage. My power to teleport things gets stronger, teleporting me right beyond the wall. I zoom through the halls, my eyes not focusing on anything besides the living room glass windows.

My guards rush to get me, but I'm too fast. My wings protectively go around me, shielding me from the glass as I plow through the windows. Immediately, I come to a hover in the air as I survey my surroundings. My wings take me higher, letting me see a small town about two miles down a dirt road. I fly swiftly over the green tree tops, everything turning into a blur as I fly swiftly to the small town.

I need to know where he's fighting. The town will tell me if they know what's good for them. With my strengthened vision and hearing, I can see the blur of my wolf guards racing after me in the forest below me. Here, the snow is already gone.

I push myself to go faster, the blue sky open with so many possibilities. In just another second, I touch down on the ground in the middle of a crowd. Everyone jumps away from me, screaming from my red eyes and black wings.

"Where's my mate fighting? Where is he?" I shout, my wings flapping anxiously. A little boy wanders closer to me, his mother screaming for him to come back as she's held away from me. In a split second, the matebond pulls away from control as the little boy looks up at me with a shy smile.

"Are you the Queen?" He asks innocently, my wings fold back as my red eyes clear. The electricity leaves, leaving me almost normal. I slowly smile, sinking down to my knees.

"Yes, but call me Tanya. What's your name, cutie pie?" I greet softly, he giggles with his wide blue eyes staring up at me.

"I'm Jack, Miss Tanya. Why are you so upset?" He replies with that innocent smile only children have, I frown sadly.

"My mate, the King, sent me away to protect me. But, he's hurting and I want to help him. Thank you for saving me from myself. The matebond takes control and I can't take control over my actions." I say sadly, bopping his nose. He giggles, launching himself into my arms much to the shock of everyone. The town gasps, watching me and readying themselves to launch at me.

"It's okay! You're fine! No one's hurt!" He reassures me, I smile and slowly hug him back gently. I release him, standing up and gently pushing him back towards the crowd.

"Your mother doesn't like me near you. Why don't you get back to her before she freaks out anymore?" I suggest, he nods and pulls me down with strength he possibly can't have. He kisses my cheek, giggling as he skips to his mother's side. She glares at me, but I'm forced down in a tackle. My arms, legs, and wings are tied back with silver, steel, and stiff leather. I scream, the binds digging into me and making me bleed and burn.
