Ok meme over time for the story.
"Commander? I noticed you weren't in the office and I had an extra cup of coffee."
Springfield bends down and hands over the mug as the Commander quickly takes a sip.
"Ah thanks, Springfield I really needed that."
"You really should lie down a bit and get some rest, I understand that you're worried about Miss M4's neural upgrade but I'm sure it will turn out fine."
"I'm just too stressed over this, you know how worried M4 was herself."
"Well at least let me grab you a chair and clean up the mess you've made."
Krieger blushes for a second looking down the stack of ramen bowls next to him and mess of plastic utensils,
"How long have you slept on the floor? You know it's not good for your back or health to do this."
"I'm sorry Springfield, just been too worried and stressed to bother."
"That's okay, she should be done soon would you like me to keep you company?"
"If you don't mind, I don't want you to stop what you're doing."
"Of course, I'll be fine."
Springfield picks up the trash and walks out leaving Krieger sitting on the floor still in a daze, but soon appears back in a flash carrying a folding chair.
"How long until the process is done Commander?"
"Ms. Persica said that it shouldn't take more then a few more hours when I called her earlier."
"Shouldn't she be supervising this? I feel like she should be here."
"I don't see why she shouldn't be here either, but she's apparently very busy with other affairs."
2 hours later a green light illuminates the doors to the lab startling the half asleep Krieger off his chair and onto the floor.
"Commander are you alright?"
"Just my legs fell asleep that's all, I think its finally done."
As if on cue the door opens up and the Commander quickly walks almost tripping over the lip of the doorway running into one of the dolls sent by Ms. Persica to help with the upgrade.
"How is she? Is she okay? Is she awake yet?"
"She's fine but might still be a bit hazy and she needs some time to adjust and recalibrate her body, but she's awake right now sir-
"Commander? Where are you?"
A quiet voice surprises Krieger, though he knows that it could only belong to his beloved but the tone and pitch set him off as he's gets rid of his worries telling himself that this would happen.
"I'm right here Mai, how are you feeling?" He asks clutching one of her hands looking over her for anything out of place.
"I-I'm fine.. just a bit tired systems are at 100% with my last scan."
"That's good to know~ come on let's get you back to your dorm room, the others have been as worried as I've, Stars been so unresponsive since you went in."
The Commander and Springfield help M4 up from the tilted steel table as they slowly lead her back all while she keeps an iron grip on Krieger's hand, arriving at M4's dorm room they slowly push open the ajar door to find the other members of the team moping and generally inactive except for M16 pacing the room holding what seems to be one of M4's shirts breathing it in.
"I'm.. back everyone.."
"M4!"
Almost in unison the sulking members of Anti-rain shout her name and rush her pulling M4 into a group hug with M16 bombarding her with questions.
"How do you feel? What happened? Did HE do anything to you? I swear if he did I'll turn him into a girl!"
"Commander! When do I get to have my mod 3? I'll do anything!"
"How are your systems feeling M4? Are they calibrated to 100% yet?"
While the happy reunion is happening the Commander slips out of the room quietly shutting the door as he leaves.
"Everything alright Commander?"
"Yeah, just tired so far I guess I'll leave them today off."
"Thats very nice of you Commander, I advise that you get some sleep as of now."
"Thank you Springfield, will do."

This lazy bastard finally wrote something again, anyway I promised by end of this month and I barely delivered, and if anyone wants to call out the fact that M16 is still here or any other story continuity/retcon changes you can go ahead zip your mouth, also since I noticed over 10 of you participated in the story path decision by favoriting a option, I'll give another poll on who gets next Mod story:
