Recuperation

This story comes The day after "Horror"

The commander woke up from his sleep to feel a feeling of warmth embracing him as he realized it was M4, her slender body hugged around him, he stopped moving for the time afraid to wake her, when he went to bed on his office chair he heard her murmuring "don't leave me commander, please save me" and decided to sleep in his bed, the minute he got under the covers M4 had turned to move her arms around him, letting her Warmth lull him to sleep. He slowly slid himself out of his covers before grabbing a spare overcoat and headed to the his table  to find Springfield sitting there waiting for him.

"Good morning commander how's M4 doing?"

"Shhhhh not so loud, but yes she's seems fine so far"

"Good I ran diagnostic test yesterday and found she hasn't been scarred in the neural cloud"

"That's really what I'm worrying about, 16Labs dolls have more emotion installed which is good but in instances like this it's not such a gift much more a curse"

"I brought your usual breakfast"

"Many thanks, could you grab me a Tylenol? I feel a headache coming up for some reason"

"Sure, that might be just from yesterday because of the high stress you endured my guess"

"Thanks for the guess gonna remember to calm down next time"

"ufufu  commander you won't ever remember that"

As Springfield leaves the commander sits back in his chair sighing putting his head into his hands.

"Poor M4 I hope she's okay"

"C-commander where are y-you?"

The sound of M4s voice snaps him out of his sorrow, as rush's to his bed.

"I'm here M4, are you okay?"

"I-I'm fine, but I feel c-cold"

"It's okay I got you, you will be fine now I promise no one will hurt you as long as I breathe"

Krieger moves closer letting M4 wrap her arms around him, letting her put her face to his chest as her tears flowed down her cheek and onto his overcoat as he hugs her back, her body trembling in his hold, as he soothed her, rubbing her head.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you from him, please forgive me"

"It's okay commander you couldn't have foreseen that, and I know how much it hurt you to see me like that, but don't beat yourself up over that."

"...I love you"

"I know that, and I feel same towards you"

"Thank you M4 you might see yourself just as another creation but I see you as way more than that your the main reason I have stayed in Griffin for the past six years all for you, your more than a doll, your family to me"

"Thank you commander, for caring about me so much, can I do anything for you?"

"Yes one thing"

"Anything sir"

"Just stay with me my beloved"

"I promise I will always be at your side Commander"

"Commander could you come to the cafe with me?"

"Anything for you"
