"Dawn, get up. You're going to be late," I hear from the voice beside my bed. They're shaking my arm and by the size of their hand I can tell it's Niall.

"I'm up," I mumble, motioning him to leave me alone.

Niall sighs and grabs my arm, pulling me out of bed. I stumble out and give him a dirty look.

"Don't look at me like that when you're the one who won't get up. You've got like five minutes before Calum is here," Niall crosses his arms.

"Fine. I'll get ready," I stretch out my arms.

Niall leaves my room so I can get dressed. I'm still exhausted from the night before. I put on my uniform and pack on a small amount of makeup. I run downstairs to wait for Calum.

I hear the horn blaring from outside as my signal it's time to go. I take my coffee from Niall and head out. Calum seems just as tired as I am. I can safely say that Ashton is definitely skipping today based off how Calum and I are.

We had a substitute in my first period so I got to sleep through it for the most part. I needed the nap. My next couple of classes go by just fine. Nothing too exciting.

Calum and I finally got our seat back for lunch. As I predicted earlier, Ashton skipped out on school. I notice Calum gushing at his phone so I lean over to see it.

    "Who's that? She's pretty," I ask him.

"Carmen. She's my," Calum pauses, "friend."

He flips the phone around so I can get a better look of her. With his permission, I take the phone in my own hands.

     "Calum, she is stunning

"Calum, she is stunning. Are you guys talking?" I hand him back the phone.

"She really is and I don't know. Ashton said that she wanted to talk to me but I dunno," Calum shrugs his shoulders.

"I say go for it. What's the worse that could happen? It might not work out but at least you learned something. Plus Ashton wouldn't try to get you to talk if he didn't think it would work," I take a chip from his side of the table.

"You think so? What if she tries to get me away from you?" Calum ask, seeming genuinely concerned about that.

"Then we will cross that bridge if we come to it. But it's still worth the shot," I shrug.

Calum has always been insecure when it comes to girls liking him or taking any interest in him. As his friend, I try to remind him that he's a pretty cute guy with a good personality. He just doesn't seem to believe me.

Lunch ends so that means I have to go to my most dreaded class of the week. Hopefully Michael decided to skip today.

I walk into my english class and there he is. I sigh as I walk up to my desk. I take my supplies out of my bag, just as I did yesterday. Things for the recreation poem come into my mind but none of them sound good enough to turn in.
