ANDRÉ’S POV:

Who the hell brought up the curtains?!

I cussed inwardly as the Californian scorching sun penetrated every part of the room and also my face and body. The back of my hand covered my face but it still wasn’t enough. What the fuck?

Who’s fighting with the sun?!

My eyes weren’t still open as I turned my back on the rays and searched for something.....no, in fact, someone. Empty? My hand stretched the more but still, nothing. Huh? I opened my eyes only to be gifted an empty space on the bed. What the?

I sat up straight and looked around the room. There was no sight of her. Panic rose inside of me when I didn’t notice her clothes and shoes or jewelries around. I nakedly stood up from the bed to check the bathroom, but there was no sight of her. I checked the walk-in closet, her clothes were still there but she wasn’t inside.

I raked my hair in frustration as I thought of her leaving me. But her clothes are here — I thought but what if she abandoned them and quickly left so I wouldn’t wake up and stop her.

Fuccckkk!

What if she left the country already?!

So many thoughts ran through my mind as I paced around the room. But what about yesterday? Didn’t any of it have an effect on her just the way it did to me? No no, I can’t lose her and my baby again. I searched for my phone and saw it on the table. I quickly took it and called my cousin from my mother’s side.

“Dude I’m busy.” He said over the phone and I immediately heard the panting of a young woman.

“What the fuck?! Are you having—”

“Shut it André. Don’t pretend that you haven’t answered the call during sex. Remember last year Christmas?”

“Just shut up you idiot. I need a favor.”

“What is it? And hurry up, like I said, I’m BUSY.”

“Yeah whatever. I need you to find someone’s location for me.”

“What? Cinderella ran away again?”

“Don’t call her that.” I gritted my teeth in annoyance. I swear my cousins are so frustrating!

“Whatever. What happened this time?”

“I don’t need to tell you the details now do I? Just find where the hell she is.”

“You know you’re not the boss of me right?” I could feel his smirk over the phone.

“But I am your favorite cousin. So do it. Besides, if you don’t, I’ll tell Grandpa Martin and Uncle John that you were responsible for the explosion that happened at the warehouse two years ago.” It was my turn to smirk.
