GABRIELLA’S POV:

“YOU MADE A SEXTAPE?!” My mother barked so angrily at me while I just stared at her with my left fingers on my cheek. It hurt like hell. “Answer me!” She demanded but I couldn’t bring myself to answer.

I was confused by everything, so physically and emotionally hurt from her slap. But my everlasting numbness didn’t even allow me to cry.

My mom raised her hand up once more and planned to descend it down on me. My eyes closed shut as I waited for the impact but two seconds passed and I didn’t feel anything. I opened my eyelids and saw my father holding the right wrist of my mother in the air.

“LET GO OF ME!” She yelled but he didn’t even budge. His eyes darkened like nightfall at my mother’s sudden rage. “You see what your daughter did?!”

My father’s man just stood from afar as he witnessed everything in shock. Everyone knows my mother for being soft.

“Look at you being so irrational and later the media will question you on why you married such a hot tempered jerk.” I could see that he was very angry at her but tried to control himself.

“Nathan Dalmonte I have EVERY right to discipline my daughter when she goes astray!”

“Where is your trust for her?” He brought down her hand and let go. “So you just saw it online and completely believed it without even thinking of asking your daughter for her side of the story? I am very disappointed in you, Ariana.” He hissed at her.

I saw the shocking pain on my mom’s face at the way my father addressed her. He never calls her by her first name...EVER.

“BUT—”

“But nothing.” He cut her off and embraced me immediately. I almost flinched at his act but decided against it the minute I had this comforting feeling in me. “I’m so sorry angel, let me see your face.” He cupped my face and tilted it up in a way he could see where she slapped. “You’re so sensitive like your sister.” He grazed it gently and then called his man. “Dominic!”

“Yes sir?” His man ran quickly to him.

“Go get an ice pack.” He instructed while my mother just stared at us with regret in her eyes.

Was she about to cry?

After slapping me, now she wants to cry? When I should be the one crying.

“I believe you didn’t do it, okay?” He hugged me tighter as my face buried on his lower chest. I wrapped my arms around him and closed my eyes. From his body movement, I knew he didn’t expect it. It’s been seven years since I hugged my father. If I was still my emotional self, I would have cried by now.

“I didn’t do anything.” I said quietly, still in his embrace.

“I know you didn’t, I trust you.” He kissed my head.

“I’m so confused daddy.”

DADDY?!

I JUST CALLED HIM DAD!!!
