GABRIELLA’S POV:

“ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BE A MEDICAL STUDENT?! THAT IS DANGEROUS!” I yelled with every energy in my body.

“Chill the fuck out, the substance I normally give her has finished so I decided to improvise with cocaine and as I thought, it worked like magic!” She exhaled the nicotine out of her nostrils and straight to her little girl’s face.

“STOP THAT!” I commanded and she shot a glare at me.

“For goodness sake you’ll wake her up eventually if you continue shouting like some mad woman.” She huffed and placed the poor unfortunate child on the bed.

“Laura do you have any idea what you’re doing? You’re killing her.” If I wasn’t broken beyond repair, I probably would have cried at that spot because of what she was doing to her and the deadly affects.

“Look, the substance—”

“What exactly IS the substance? Was it prescribed or did you just get it somewhere?”

“Hear me out...” She bit her lip in fear of my reaction. “The hospital didn't offer a strong sleeping medicine for the child so I had to find myself...from anywhere.”

My eyes widened at the two last words. “Do you even care about her?! No do you?! That is even a newborn baby for goodness sake, you don't do that! Is your intention to kill her?!”

“I won’t kill her but I will dump her tomorrow night. I can’t stand her cries anymore.” She stood up and paced around frustratedly.

“Neither can I but not the way you can’t.” There was complete disgust for Laura in my eyes.

“And besides, it seems nothing can kill this baby due to how strong she is. If she could handle my drinking and smoking during pregnancy and even after she was born, she can handle the world. So in a way, I’m preparing her for the worse.” She smirked. “Gaby darling, calm the fuck out.” She came to me and placed both her hands on my shoulders but I didn’t even waste time in flinging them away.

“Her heart isn’t strong.” I spoke so weakly. What is this baby doing to me? But it was the human thing to do.

“God is watching so she won’t die...” She paused. “...anytime soon. When she’s old she’ll die but not right now.” She laughed without a care in the world

“You are despicable.” I spat at her.

“And she is the strongest baby I know.” I didn't even know if the poor child should take that as a compliment or not. “I might be flunking classes this year, but I do know it’s not all children that stay after ALL she went through in my belly. She’s as strong as liquor.”

“Are you serious right now?” I rose my brow at her angrily.

“Deadass serious.” She gazed upon the mini fridge with an almost empty bottle of liquor. “And not just any liquor. She reminds me of a Tequila drink. That’s my favorite liquor by the way.” Laura paused for a bit as she thought deep about something then continued. “You know before giving her to the dumpster tomorrow night, I should at least give her a name, don’t you think?”
