COMMENTS MAKE ME SMILE🙃💛

GABRIELLA’S POV:

“Before we talk about why we truly are all here. I’d like to say a few words.” Andrew Lombardi sipped on the glass of expensive champagne gripped by his left hand.

“It better not be bullshit I and my family are not interested in hearing. Stick to why we came here, Andrew.”

“You’ve always been so hot tempered and impatient, Nathan.” He smiled at my dad’s furious face. “Anyways, firstly, I would like to thank my beautiful daughter — Andrea for hosting my granddaughter’s sixth birthday party at her home, you did well.”

Okay is this man drunk?! We are not interested in hearing this. And she is MOST certainly NOT your Granddaughter.

“It was my pleasure.” She smiled but I could see she was nervous of how this meeting would end.

“I also want to thank all of you for staying till the end of this party just to show up for the meeting — despite how tensed everyone is with one another.”

“Where is Laura?” I immediately spoke. “Why are you handling this? WHERE.IS.LAURETTA.LOMBARDI?”

“She is currently indisposed at the moment so she trusted in me to give her verdict. A verdict which will end all quarrels that have been created.”

“And by indisposed you mean she’s having the time of her life in Ecuador smoking till she burns her lungs?” I gave a hard glare towards her mother who has been quiet since. She just glanced at me and looked away.

The only people present at the meeting were Andrew and his wife — Anna, Laura’s parents, my parents, Andre and for some odd reason — Chloe, and then Andrea and I.

Could someone explain to me why Chloe is here? This is a family meeting so why is she here wrapping her arms around André’s?!

“I know a lot has gone down between our two or is it...three families. The Lombardies and the Dalmontes have been friends for centuries, it would be a shame to our ancestors if we’d stop the cycle. The Great Flavio Dalmonte and Nicolò Lombardi would not want such a sad ending to come up our families. And that is why as capo ad Interim di casa Lombardi, I have come to appeal to you — Nathan — capo ad Interim della famiglia Dalmonte, to bring peace back into our relazione.”

“I believe you know what to do.” Dad moved forward to him.

“Indeed, my family has wronged not just you but your daughter of her right to her child. My niece was supposed to be the one to do this but she’s not here so she spoke to me to do it. Though Laura is the one that gave birth to Tequila, the true mother is Gabriella. You nursed her with love as if she were yours — biologically.” He heaved a sigh as he walked towards me. “It is time to right a wrong.”

“Indeed.” I stared boldly at him.

“Laura wants nothing to do with the motherhood of Tequila. She needs the care of her real family — of her real mother — Gabriella.” He pointed at me with the glass of champagne in his hand.

I couldn’t help but break a smile. Tears were threatening to gather in my eyes. FINALLY, I have gotten my child back. I was about to say something but Andrew interrupted.

“As well as the care of her real father...”

My smile disappeared. “W—What do you mean? Laura wants Charles to be part of my daughter’s life?!” I felt a sudden rage appeared. “I will never allow that!! Charles almost killed Tequi—”
