ANDRÉ’S POV:

“André n—”

“Don’t even lie to me Gabriella. She’s five years old. And you left me six years ago. Do the math.” I can’t believe I’m admitting this but there were tears in my eyes threatening to fall down and disgrace myself.

How could she be so cruel?

Why? Just why?

“We actually have a child together and you kept her away from me. I missed her birth, her first words, her first walk, her first laughter, her first day of school, I missed every single thing. Just when I thought you hurt me enough when you were with that guy, you proved me wrong again that you are capable of everything wicked. I never expected something like this. EVER.”

“André please just...” She stopped talking when Rokkett interrupted her.

“Ummm.....we need to go.” He spoke and she instantly looked up.

I soon realized what he was talking about.

Everyone’s eyes were on the scene we just created. I’m pretty sure every child and staff in this school witnessed everything. My eyes trailed to the gate. There was a heap of paparazzi all around the premises with cameras and phones of all kind trying to get a footage of this personal heartbreaking moment.

I turned my attention back to the floor the both of them were on but to my surprise, they weren’t there anymore. The sound of a car’s engine igniting caught both my ears and eyes. Brie was on the driver’s seat with her hands on the wheel as she looked at me through the winded down window.

“Brie—”

“Stay away from me and my child Mr. Lombardi.” Her voice was hard yet broken and her eyes were the most softest thing I have ever seen with it threatening to lose a waterfall on me.

She stepped on the pedal and furiously headed for the gate. With the speed she was in, they needed to open the gate and for the people outside of it to move out of the way immediately. That was the only way she could get out and her plan was successful. I wanted to follow them so I stole her plan which was also accomplished.

We both could die through a car crash but I guess God was watching over. The reason why I am saying this is because it was like a dangerous car race scene from fast and furious. Both our cars ran on a speed which attracted the police on our trail.

Gabriella was of course in the lead with me being directly on her tail and the police way at the back. She was so skilled at racing away from me that I was on a speed of 102km per hour. I remember when six years ago, anytime I drove she would love when I go fast. Just the thought about a past memory brought back a heart ache.

We went deeper into the region of Calabasas and I instantly knew where she was heading to.

There was no time to even look back if the police were still on us. But then I realized there were no sirens anymore meaning they lost us.

Back to Brie. Since I knew where she was going, I decided to make it easier for her to reach the destination. There was an A.L.E.X.A built into the car with it connected to every single thing on my phone so I quickly ordered her to inform the security men posted at the gate to leave the gate wide open.

“André, the head of the security guards posted at the gate of Heaven Residential Area asked why do you want them to be opened. What do you want to be your response?” Her robotic voice asked.

“Tell them if they don’t do it immediately then they’re all fired.”

Two seconds later, she replied. “Okay.”
