GABRIELLA’S POV:
“What? Tequila no. I’m not agreeing to that.”
“But mommy pleeeeeease. Other families do it. Why can’t we be like that?”
“Because our situation is different and complicated. I can’t.” I sighed.
“Why must our situation be different and concricated?”
“First of all, it’s COMPLICATED and not CONCRICATED. Secondly, that’s just the way it is.”
“What happened?” André entered inside Tequila’s room.
“Daddy why can’t mommy stay with us? Why can’t we live together like a normal family?” Her voice was going soft.
I see what she wants to do and André is completely trapped by it. She wants to emotionally blackmail us and André is spoiling her the more.
“Sure we can be like a normal family. In fact, we already are.” He sat on her bed and cuddled close to her.
“How?” Her face frowned at him.
“Well, in a normal family, what exist is love. And we have that. I love you, don’t I?...Your mommy loves you, doesn’t she? So—”
“What about the two of you? Do you love mommy? And does mommy love you?” Her hazel eyes shone at the two of us, waiting for answers that we couldn’t provide.
If we do, it’ll break her heart immensely. I spoilt her too much to make her cry. So I did the one thing that could get both André and I out of this awkward moment.
I Agreed.
“Fine I’ll stay.” I heaved a deep breath as Tequila squealed and hugged me.
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank youuuuuu!!! I love you so much mommy!” She kissed my temple over again as she wrapped her arms around my neck so tight.
“Can’t....breath..” I managed to say as my daughter unintentionally strangled me.
“OH!...sorry mommy, I was just super excited.” She giggled and stared at her father...I mean André!
“But just for this week.” I told her and she smiled.
“I’ll take it. This week is going to be the BESTEST WEEK EVERRRR!!!!!!”
“Do you want me to stay?” I looked at André who was looking back at me.
“Do I look like I have a problem with you staying? I just hope you remember to be a good girl during your stay at my house. If not, you know what’s going to happen.” He smirked at me and I replied with a scowled expression.
“Huh? What’s daddy talking ab—”
“C’mon princess. Rusty Rivets is about to start. Do you wanna watch it here or we should go downstairs to the cinema?”
“CINEMA ROOM! DUUHH!!”
André chuckled. “Whatever you say princess.”
“And daddy Rusty Rivets doesn’t start now. It’s Nella And The Princess Knight, remember?”
“Oh that’s true.”
“So just last week that I was with mommy and not you, you’ve forgotten everything we watch and the time we watch it.” She huffed.
“Of course not princess. I just mixed up the time.”
“Wait, since when did you start watching Nella. I thought you didn’t like her. What happened to ‘Fancy Nancy rules the world’?” I said to her.
