My eyes felt heavy and the feeling of my drained body came in when my consciousness had returned. My eyes fluttered open to see a blurry vision of two heads hovering above me. When it finally cleared in, I came face to face with the concerned look of my school's nurse.
"Aru, how are you feeling?" She asked as her eyes were scanning my face.
I averted my eyes to the right and they came in contact with the one and only food stealer named Choi Beomgyu. My face scrunched in anger as I remember the scene when he emptied all my food. "Horrible." I spat, eyes glaring at Beomgyu. They shouldn't expect me to say I am fine after I fainted from being starved for hours.
The nurse sighed and crossed her arms. "If so, next time eat something in the morning." She advised. I pouted, knowing I am not the only one at fault here. The nurse shook her head in disbelief and she walked over to her drawer, taking something out. I frowned, wondering what it was. "Here, eat this energy bar. It wasn't much but it should do the trick. You will feel better." She said and handed me an energy bar.
My eyes shone brightly at the sight of the energy bar and I beamed a bright smile at the nurse. "Are you an angel, miss?" I asked, blinking my eyes with admiration.
The nurse scoffed in disbelief and giggled to herself. Her hand then patted my head. "It's just an energy bar, no need to get so excited. " She said and took the file on the table. "Right, I have to go somewhere to settle some things. Will you be okay alone, Aru? Also, Beomgyu you should go back to class soon," She reminded him.
"Yes." We both answered at the same time and I glared at him again, grumbling to myself. He tilted his head, looking at me innocently.
The nurse then cleared her throat, earning our attention. "I will go then. You guys can take your time here." She said and immediately walked out as if she wouldn't want to be involved in our situation.
After she left, I brought my attention back to my heavenly energy bar which I was eager to eat. I tear open the package. Realizing its chocolate flavor, I thank God a few times for gracing me with this heaven descended food. I was about to take a bite of the sweet bar when I felt a pair of eyes staring at me intensely from the side. I got irritated by the intensity so I snapped a glare at him.
"This is my food. I won't let you take it this time. I am in my desperate, hungry condition so don't test me." I gave a fair warning to Beomgyu and he pouted, looking down. No, it didn't melt my heart at all. Shut up whoever it was that kept whispering at the back of my mind. I said no! "Also, you can leave."
"At least tell me what it tastes like after you ate it, maybe I will leave then." He requested as his puppy eyes were burning mine.
"Okay, fine! Just stop staring at me! It's uncomfortable!" I looked away when I felt my cheeks heating up. Is the air-conditioner turned on? Why was it hot in here? I looked back at him after I calmed down and he was covering his eyes.
