" Unsolved confusion and uneasiness "

°•° ✿ °•°

"Kim Aru... KIM ARU!"

I jumped at the loud voice that boomed into my ear and quickly stood up to face the glaring dinosaur in front of me. He looked as if he was ready to bite off my head.

"Kim Aru, if I see you not focusing in class one more time, I will ask you to leave this class!" Professor wighead shouted at me. What did he expect? That I would beg for him to let me stay in class? Please, I would be more than grateful if he kicked me out.

However, seeing how everyone was staring at me, I lost my bravery to argue. I could only bow and apologise. "Forgive me, professor. I won't repeat it." I said and he nodded his head at me before returning to teaching. I sat down right after and released a sigh.

A sudden tap was felt on my shoulder and I turned to see Taehyun looking at me with concern in his eyes. "Was meeting him that impactful?" he whispered. My eyes widened at that but chuckled later.

"You seriously need to stop reading into me." I giggled.

"Well, you're like an open book to me. Should I mention a book that I have been repeatedly reading for years?" he teased and I laughed silently.

Silence then fell in between us. I was aware of our lack of conversation but I didn't know how I would tell Taehyun. It was impactful, meeting Beomgyu but the way it flowed wasn't.

I was confused. Did it happen just like that? Everything was forgotten? My anger, my pain and my longing. Those 2 years I missed him and thought it was my fault he left but he came back later and what? Telling me the reasons why he left and just like that?

I couldn't yell at him and I couldn't even blame him. The uneasiness and confusion in my heart were overflowing. Somehow, my pride was hurt, as if I was so easily blinded by love—maybe I was.

FLASHBACK [ THIRD PERSON POV ]

The chirps and sound of pecking were heard as she slowly regained her consciousness. Her eyes fluttered open and a groan left her lips before she brought herself up from the bed. She felt something trickling down her cheeks so she wiped it and realised it was her tears. She wondered why she cried and a memory struck her head. Her head whipped around, trying to find a figure, but no one was in her room. "Beomgyu..." she trailed. She frowned but decided to shrug it off. "He probably went home."

He did go home, but she never expected he would stay there for a long time. The clueless girl she was, knew nothing as she smiled with excitement twinkling in her eyes—she couldn't wait to meet him.

Disappointed; She was disappointed. Upon reaching her class, he was not in sight. The seat remained empty that day and it remained so for a long time. She thought maybe he was taking rest till his injuries healed but it took too long. Eventually, she felt uneasy. She desperately wanted to meet him so she had to ask.
