Taehyun frowned, wondering why Aru took so long to greet a person. Decided to check on her, he put down whatever he was doing and walked out from the kitchen to the living room. "Aru? What took you so--"
"Guys! Look who's here!" Aru chirped as she moved aside, revealing who was behind her. Taehyun's eyes slowly widened as he froze in place as an unpleasant feeling filled his heart at the presence of the lady. The lady then gave him a warm smile when he saw him.
"Hey there, Taehyun." She said. Taehyun didn't reply. He was too shocked by her presence to voice out but someone reacted differently.
Someone ran past Taehyun and he flinched at the sudden gust of wind, pulling him out of his trance. "AUNT KOREEEEEEEE!!!!" A high pitch screech was heard from a male, creating temporary tinnitus to his two friends. Taehyun groaned and Aru simply covered her ears.
"Hey! Kai! You're still cheerful as ever!" The lady that called, aunt Kore chuckled at Kai's enthusiasm. Kai embraced her and she welcomed it, patting his head lovingly. "I came to visit Aru but I guess I got 3 in 1." She joked, smiling widely.
Aru joined in on the hug, squeezing both Kai and her aunt. "We missed you, aunt Kore!" They snuggled in each other's warmth and the lady giggled at their baby behaviour despite their grown age. Her eyes then travelled to Taehyun who stood far from them.
Unlike the two, he seemed annoyed and an unpleasant aura radiated from him, but despite so, she still smiled. "Son, aren't you gonna greet me?" She asked, still smiling warmly.
Taehyun sighed at that, looking away. He remained silent and walked to the kitchen, ignoring his mother's presence. Aru frowned at that, wondering why Taehyun always acted that way when he saw his mother while Kai sighed, understanding his feelings. Aru then caught sight of Taehyun's mother's eyes that swirled with a little sadness.
As for a person who has a mother, she couldn't accept Taehyun's rude behaviour. "I will talk to him," Aru said as she took her steps towards the kitchen but before she could reach there, her wrist was held by a hand.
She looked back to see Taehyun's mother shaking her head as a sign for her to not bother Taehyun. Aru's eyes softened at that and she backed away, had no choice but to listen to her. Taehyun's mother then smiled.
Suddenly, Taehyun walked out of the kitchen and stood in front of them with a spatula in his hand. Taehyun's mother felt awkward about it but she still forced a smile on her face while Kai and Aru raised their brows, wondering why he was grabbing tightly onto the spatula.
"I am cooking and there is enough food for the four of us. You can stay for lunch if you want." Taehyun nonchalantly said and walked back to the kitchen.
