"Aru!" Someone called from behind and she rolled her eyes as she walked faster. "Hey wait up!" The person called again and finally caught up to her, holding onto her shoulder. "Ya, didn't you hear me?" The male was out of breath after his run. Aru was way faster than he thought and it made him wonder why she avoided him.

Aru gave him an unimpressed look as she crossed her arms. "I thought you don't want to talk to me?" She raised her eyebrow and scoffed later, trying to walk away again but Beomgyu quickly blocked her way, not allowing her to walk any further.

"It's not that. What I meant was that we shouldn't talk outside." He tried to explain but his logic was not at all understandable for Aru.

"And why is that?" His eyes widened at that. His mouth opened and closed, couldn't find any words to make sense of his words. If he told Aru everything, he would get punished or simply killed. Worst of all, Aru will know about the monster side of him and get scared. "She will just be like everybody else." He thought and his eyes saddened.

Aru noticed the change in his mood and felt bad for being harsh on him. She shouldn't be mad at him for such a mere thing but it's unavoidable as it could be her mood swings. She heaved a sigh, earning Beomgyu's attention. "Nevermind. I shouldn't be this angry anyways. Come on, we are late for class." She said as she walked past him.

Beomgyu's confused eyes watched her slowly walking away and later turned around. "Why are you still there?" She asked, raising her eyebrow. At her call, he walked up to her and they both walked to class. Fortunately for them, they weren't late for it.

It was a long boring class of learning calculations that wasn't at all needed in daily life. Aru was not in the mood to listen to the teacher's blabbers so she started daydreaming by staring out the window. Seeing the three birds flying together, she was reminded of her two best friends. They were rarely absent from school and today was that rare day.

Without their presence, it felt like her whole world was under lockdown. Her usual routine seemed to be ruined and her concentration was thrown out the window. She thought maybe it was the side effects of her period but later she was sure it's because she missed them.

Her eyes saddened, wanting to joke around with them. She can't wait to leave school and make a call but the time seemed to be ticking slowly.

Luckily for her, someone was there to keep her company. The chair beside her was pulled and Beomgyu sat on it, settling down his books and papers on the table. His eyes were staring at the teacher, making sure she wasn't looking his way.
