" A second meeting that brought
meaning in the future "

"That will be 7150 won." The cashier said and shoved two big cups of ramyeon and two cans of cola into a white plastic bag.

I smiled happily at the thought of slurping the ramyeon back at home and I tried my best to not drool over the delicious imaginary ramyeon that is floating in my thoughts. I took out my purse, took out the money and gave it to the cashier. She politely took it and handed me the receipt.

"Come again next time!" She said, pulling her lips into a smile. It doesn't look like a genuine smile at all. She was tired but still tried her best to smile. I remembered I bought two cans of cola. It's not like I have a buddy to drink with me back at home. It doesn't kill me to give her one. I looked up at the cashier and gave her a small smile.

"Here, have this. It must have been a long tiring day for you. This will boost up your energy." I said and placed a can of cola on the counter. Her eyes widened, shocked that I gave it to her.

"O-Oh- Thank you so much! You're so kind!" She praised and bowed a few times while clutching on the cola can.

I blushed at her words but giggled it off. I bowed back and left the convenience store. However, the moment I stepped out, the rain started pouring mercilessly. I didn't bring my umbrella with me and it's a long way home. I looked at the pathway to my home and my lips shaped into a pout. I am not sure when the rain is gonna stop but I am sure it won't be soon.

Why you have to do this to me Rain God. I let out a groan, annoyed that I can't get home fast. Just when I am having a hard time being patient, my stomach growled making it worse. The imaginary ramyeon cooked together with green onions, topped with egg yolk along with chewy sausages and not to forget slimy cheese covering on top, popped in my head on cue.

My stomach growled, begging for the delicious ramen. Now, I feel frustrated at the thought of probably staying here the whole cold, rainy night only to be fed by my imaginary ramyeon.

"Miss?" A gentle voice called from behind me and I turned my head, surprised to see the cashier from before. She smiled and held up a white umbrella. My eyebrows furrowed, staring at the white umbrella. "Take this. It's the convenience store's umbrella. It's for customers and staff that forgot their umbrella."

My mouth shaped and 'O' after hearing her explanation. "But what about you?" I said, wondering if she brought her own umbrella.
