After the storm, came the calm waves. It was a long moment of panicking and having trouble if calming down after what they heard from Aru. Kai and Taehyun were always protective of Aru and hearing this, triggered an alarm in them. Aru tried her best to show that she is fine and they don't have to worry but it took one hour or more for them to fully calmed down.
When they are sure ready to hear what Aru has to say, they bring her to the living room to have a chat. Both Kai and Aru sat on the same couch while Taehyun sat on the other. Kai stayed by Aru's side, holding her hand to comfort her. He thought that what had happened must have traumatised her, but no, she is rather calm now. Taehyun, who is worried sick, keeps on tapping his feet trying to calm his urge to search for the man in crime.
Aru started explaining what happened. Taehyun stayed silent, deep in his train of thoughts while Kai almost cried because Aru had to go through this and Aru kept on telling him that it's fine.
"So, you're saying that when you came into your house, he was already there?" Taehyun finally voiced up. He threw out his first question for the sake of a clearer explanation and the mystery of how the man went in. Hearing that question, Aru turned her head from Kai and brought her attention to Taehyun. She nodded her head, giving Taehyun the confirmation.
Taehyun started to pinch his nose bridge. "And I heard you say he escaped through an open window? Am I right?" Taehyun asked, a slight change in his voice.
"Yes!! He did! He jumped out before I could scream for your guys! He is a smart one!" Aru answered, totally clueless about the situation she is in now. Kai, who can sense the dark aura coming from Taehyun, excuses himself to make some tea in the kitchen. He used that excuse to not get himself involved in Taehyun's wrath.
Taehyun who knew the conclusion to everything still decided to throw out his one last question to confirm everything. When he asked it, let's just say Aru is in big trouble. "Did you lock your door before going to school?"
It took Aru quite a while to process that. She opened and closed her mouth like a fish, unable to answer. Kai who can sense the aura anger emitting out from Taehyun decided to quickly excuse himself to brew some tea so he could escape the deadly situation. Aru's mouth hung open, shocked that her best friend betrayed her like this.
"Answer me." Taehyun demanded, sense of authority in his voice. He finally looked up at Aru and Aru was beyond terrified.
"Hahaha.....well I....don't quite remember..." She squeaked out and took the pillow on the couch to cover her face. "But come on Taehyun, how am I supposed to know that someone will come in?" Aru said to defend herself, but it's a bad choice.
