"Black thread, black rose. Don't cut it, don't lose the smell."

The sound of the alarm resonated throughout the room. Flinching at the alarm, she slowly became aware of the noises. Her consciousness seeped in and her eyes fluttered open. Grunting, she tapped the alarm button, stopping it from further beeping.

She sat up slowly as she brushed through her hair with her hand. She looked over the window where the sun beamed in and birds flying by. A loud groan left her lips. "I didn't sleep well," Aru said with her groggily morning voice as she rubbed her temples.

After having a nightmare last night, she couldn't get a good night's sleep. The nightmare felt too real to be just a nightmare. She woke up with a stiff neck due to the aftereffect.

Despite the tiredness taking a toll on her, she still got up as she had to be ready for her university. She dragged her feet to the bathroom to start her morning routine.

The bus finally arrived but she was still dozing off at the bus stop. Luckily for her, a baby cried after her mother stepped out of the bus, waking up Aru. She was quick to grasp the situation and rushed to climb the bus. She found her seat and sighed, glad that she didn't miss the bus.

She stared out the window, looking at the bright street and cars passing by. The sunlight kissed her face and the longer she looked outside, the more tired she became. Once again, she dozed off.

She didn't know how long but the moment she woke up, she had already missed her stop. In a panic, she hit the buzzer. "Sorry sir, but I'm leaving here!"

The bus stopped and she stepped down the stairs quickly. She started looking around to see if she was familiar with the place and she did. She wasn't so far away from the university and by running she would reach in a few minutes so she ran.

After reaching the university, she had her hands on her knees when bending down to take a breather before walking towards the entrance. When she recovered, she entered the building to be greeted by loud chatters.

"Hey, Aru!" A girl greeted her. Aru smiled back and waved at her.

Few more people waved at her and said hello, which she happily returned. She expected this cheerful environment since it always happens but today was a little different.

Usually, they would just say hi, but today, some boys would greet her right in front of her face, scaring her or some would stare at her up and down which she felt uncomfortable with. As for the girls, they would suddenly become too friendly and cling onto her arm when Aru barely knew her like right now.
