" Goodbye is a word of a new beginning. "

The rain continued to shower the land, washing away the dirt from the leaves and creating puddles on the moist mud. The crickets and frogs came out to greet the rain while the others shielded away from it. The rain showered on the window and the water flowed down.
A pair of curious green eyes watched as the water flowed down to the window stand. He sighed as he hoped the rain lasted longer because he knew what to expect after the rain.
"Beomgyu." A soft voice called, grabbing his attention. Beomgyu looked over at the girl sitting in front of him with her worried eyes staring into his eyes. "Can you...bend a little?" She asked as she eyed his bleeding head.
Beomgyu stared at her for a while before nodding his head at her request. He bent down to her eye level, enough to allow her hands to reach his head. Aru scrunched her face when she saw his bleeding head. She felt immense guilt though it wasn't exactly her fault that he was hurt. She then softly dapped the wet towel on his head and when she pulled back, it was stained with blood.
After everything, they were now resting in Aru's house and she was currently aiding him. She had given him a pair of fresh oversized clothes for him to change into but he refused, saying his house was just nearby. Aru didn't want to argue with him further when his bleeding head kept grabbing her attention, after all, she was too drained to have the energy to argue.
His green eyes observed her expression silently. He wondered why she wasn't afraid of him after what she saw. Though she reacted differently from what Beomgyu expected, the poor boy was still scared — scared that she would leave him. He shut his eyes tight, afraid of the thought.
"I am sorry! Was I too rough?" Aru immediately pulled back her hand and Beomgyu noticed the tears building up at the corner of her eyes. He knew she hadn't recovered fully from the incident before so he pulled his lips upward, giving her a warm smile.
"No. You were gentle. It doesn't hurt at all so don't worry." He said and Aru released a sigh of relief. She then turned over to the first aid kit and grabbed a bandage but Beomgyu stopped her by holding her wrist. "I don't think I need that." He said as his eyes saddened, knowing he healed fast due to his immortality.
Aru, who was quick to catch up, knew what he meant but she did not agree with him. "Still, I want to bandage you up. That way I will be less worried." She said as she pulled him closer to her. His eyes widened at the sudden increase of proximity but Aru was more preoccupied to realise it.
His heartbeat quickened as he couldn't tear his gaze away from his eyes. Being so up close, he realised they were chocolate rather than charcoal black. They bewitched him as if they were enchanted eyes and Beomgyu found himself growing a feeling that he couldn't quite depict.
