"Dad!Boo!",Michael calls from the front door, slinging his bag onto his shoulder,"I'm going out for the day!I'll be back before the moon rises!"

His dad emerges from the kitchen, brows scrunched worriedly as he gripped his cardigan tight;"Are you sure you want to go out today? Why not just-"

Michael sighs,"Dad,just calm down.I'll be at the market with auntie Nik and I'll be walking around the place.I promise not to go near the prison or go anywhere where there isn't that many people,I'll be sure to keep my guard up,and I'll yell and scream if anything happens.",he pulls out a bottle, filled with glowing liquid,"And if necessary,I'll drink this invisibility potion uncle Tech gave me."

Tubbo exasperatedly ran his hand through his hair,"Just....please be careful."

The seven year old boy gives him a reassuring smile,"Dad,I promise I'll be fine.I've been doing this for three years now, don't worry too much like grandpa and uncle Tech.".

"I know...",Tubbo walks over to his adopted son, cupping his cheeks and gently bumping his forehead with his, careful of his horns. He pulls away, but not before he looks at Michael with fond eyes,"...You look so much like your uncle Tommy."

Michael's smile turned flustered,"I know...you all say that.".

He really did.

He had grew out of wearing jumpers and sweaters, now opting to wear blue, short sleeved jackets and a plain white, half long-sleeved shirt underneath. He had shorts on with his favourite red sneakers. His pink hair grew out a little, just reaching the nip of his neck. His boo would often cut it when it grew a bit too long.

He really did look like his uncle.

Hell,Tommy confirmed it himself when he sees it the first time.Michael remembered how he chuckled fondly and looked pretty flustered as he ruffled his hair.He remember how the young man said,'following in my footsteps,eh?' to him.

Honestly,maybe he was.

Was here a problem with it?

Probably not,it depends on who your asking;but that's besides the point.

Michael gives his dad a hug—a tight, assuring one too, just to be sure—before he swings the door open and leaves for the day;"I'll see you later!"

Tubbo smiles, albeit a little strained;"Be back before dinner!I love you!"

"Love you too,dad!"

And with that,he sets off.Walking along the gravel path his family made as he listens to the wildlife around him.He often found himself staring off into the distance as if he was looking for something, hidden within the trees and bushes;a predator.

He blames uncle Techno for that, maybe his dad and grandpa too.

But honestly,he thinks it's better to stay alert now;especially because of today's threat.
