"All families have their secrets, most people would never know them, but they know there are spaces, gaps where the answers should be, where someone should have sat, where someone used to be. A name that is never uttered, or uttered just once and never again. We all have our secrets."
(Cecelia Ahern, The Book of Tomorrow)

 Less than one month...

Y/N felt her nerves slowly building up in her body at the thought. In less than one month The Superpower Liberation Army would begin their attack or rather, the hero commission and a band of heros from all across Japan would be attempting to catch them off guard, stopping the attack before they have the chance. Y/N knew she wasn't the only one feeling nervous as she watched Keigo walk around their tiny room, hands running through his hair every other second.

"I hate this. That damn Dabi said that I can't leave the facility now since the battle is getting close. I hate just waiting on the sidelines like this dammit!"

Sighing, Y/N stood up, making her way behind Keigo so that she could wrap her arms around his waist. Snuggling into him she laid gentle kisses along the back of his neckline in an attempt to calm him down.

"I know Kei, but there's not much we can do right now except to wait. We've come this far, don't let your impatience fuck it up."

Chuckling, Keigo turned around so that he was facing Y/N, his hands tilting her chin upwards so that he could gaze into the crimson eyes that somehow managed to calm him down no matter what the situation was.

"Harsh babybird harsh... but I guess you're right. I'll be good, I promise. Though-- I can think of some ways you can distract me so I won't "fuck it up" like you think I might. I could really use a distraction right now, how about it? Wanna be my songbird?"

Y/N shivered as Keigo left kisses along her jawline, slowly making his way up towards her mouth. She could already feel the tension in the room heighten. her senses hyperaware as she felt Keigo pull her closer, his hands squeezing her hips while his mouth hovered centimeters away from hers.

"Come on hummingbird... I'm gonna need an answer from that pretty little mouth of yours before I continue."

"Kei I--"

"Y/N, ya ready to go? Hurry up and-- ah I'm sorry!  No I'm not! Keep going, I wanna see!"

Both Y/N and Keigo froze as Twice burst into the room unannounced, an awkward aura in the room as Twice stared at them. Blushing, Y/N gently pushed Keigo away, a fake smile covering her face as she gave Twice a thumbs up.

"Yeah I'm ready, sorry about that! I was just saying goodbye to Hawks."

"Goodbye?"

Keigo stared at Y/N in confusion, his arms crossed in annoyance as he was clearly upset at Twice for interrupting them.

"Yeah! Y/N, Toga, and I are being sent out to recruit some more members for our army! Dabi's orders. Sorry, you're not invited!"

Jealousy crossed Keigo's features for a split-second before it was quickly masked with his signature smile. Walking over to Twice, he playfully wrapped an arm around his shoulders, pulling him close in a friendly motion.

"Twice, buddy! Come on, let me join too! I promise I'll help to recruit only the best people for the--"

"Nope, sorry! No can do! Dabi's orders were very clear, no birdbrain allowed. Sorry, not really!"

Sighing in acceptance, Keigo moved away from Twice with a pout on his face, his gaze directing puppy eyes towards Y/N.

"First you and Dabi, now everyone is calling me birdbrain! And now you're leaving me... what am I supposed to do to stay entertained babybird?"
