"I think perhaps I will always hold a candle for you – even until it burns my hand.
And when the light has long since gone .... I will be there in the darkness holding what remains, quite simply because I cannot let go."(Ranata Suzuki)

Blue flames, an unbearable heat, cold eyes.
Y/N stood in what was once the cafeteria of the commission's fucked up facility. She had been relaxing in her room since Keigo was away due to a special training when she heard the heels of the commission president quickly approaching from down the hall.
"Birdie, cafeteria now. You know what to do."
Y/N sighed in annoyance as she let her wings carry her quickly towards the direction of the cafeteria, bumping shoulders with the commission head as she flew by. Recently, a lot more kids have been revolting, trying to escape the disgusting facility that they were bound too. Keigo and Y/N have since been assigned the roles of stopping these escape attempts, the commission not caring whether they brought back the troublemakers dead or alive. Normally Y/N would act quickly, getting the job over with-- but there she stood frozen in her spot as wild cerulean eyes stared back at her.
"Of course they had to send you of all people. I wouldn't mind killing birdbrain, but I've always had a soft spot for you. So what're you gonna do Y/N? Kill me?"
"Touya, why? We only have one year to go till we become pro heros-- why now?"
Touya's deep laughter rang throughout the burning cafeteria, his arms raising as more fire shot out towards the walls of the crumbling building.
"Why? Come on doll I know you're not that dense. I told you last year, remember? I'll leave this place-- even if I have to become a damn villain in the process."
"Touya, don't do this. Think this through. Just one more year and the three of us can be free, we can get out of this hell hole. Do this now, and you'll be running from the commission for the rest of your life. Just come with me quietly, before they send more people in here."
"More people? Look around Y/N, no one else is coming. It's just me and you-- you know why that is?"
Y/N stood glued to her spot as Touya advanced towards her, his hands gesturing to the crumbling building around them.
"Because we're meant to die here-- me and you. That fucking bitch sent you here knowing that fire is your weakness, knowing that there is no way in hell either of us would survive if we duked it out right here. I've always been a nuisance, a failure they keep around because of my father. And you my precious doll--"
Touya continued to close the distance between himself and Y/N, reaching out a dangerously hot hand, cupping her cheek ever so gently.
"--have become too much of a distraction for their perfect Hawks. They sent you in here knowing what would happen. Either we both kill each other here or they wait until one of us dies, finishing off the other and blaming it on this whole incident."
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise as she took a step back from Touya, her wings fluttering anxiously as denial filled her mind.
"They wouldn't-- they promised we would all be heros together. We're so damn close, just one more year!"
"The commission never had any intention of us all becoming heros. They just need one hero, one charming personality to win the favor of Japan, one perfect hero to rise to the top. Face it Y/N, compared to Hawks we're nothing. The commission only cares for what benefits them in the end and right now-- we're only baggage weighing their perfect hero in training down."
