Chapter 2: Side Tracked

Luna's P.O.V.

"Are you going to come, or not?" I asked Aspen. She nodded and got into the passenger's seat to my white jeep. I started the car and drove off into the dark street.

"So what are you going to do when you get home?" asked Aspen.

"I have no idea, but I do know that it involves ANIME!" I said, yelling anime. Aspen looked at me in shock and then the shocked expression went away.

"Of course it is," said Aspen.

"Mhm." I agreed. I continued to drive the car and we finally made it to a hill we have to go down before we're in our neighborhood. I kept my eyes on the rode while I drove then I saw a white wolf with BLACK WINGS! I stopped the car immediately and got out.

"Where are you the hell going?' asked Aspen, poking her head out the window. She opened the door and ran after me. We both walked up to the creature slowly.

The closer we got, the more we could see the creature perfectly. It seemed to be wounded because of the blood at its right side.

Aspen ran up to it and knelt beside it. "Luna, it's hurt."

"No kidding." I said kneeling beside it.

Aspen turned it over and we saw a small hole wound in the wolf.

"Maybe, it got shot." I said.

"Yah, no duh it got shot." Aspen said with attitude.

I rolled my eyes and looked into the woods. There were two silhouettes of grown up men with shotguns in their hands.

"Over there!" yelled one of the men pointing over to where Luna, Aspen, and the wolf was.

"Let's get out of here now." said Aspen, pulling the wolf gently.. I helped Aspen carry the wolf-bird-thing into my car. The men started to shoot my car and I started it as quickly as I could and drove off to my house. The wolf-bird hybrid was knocked out in the back seat. When we got to my house and got out of my car, I saw that my fucking car had 5 bullet holes inside of it.

"Shit, my mom's going to fucking kill me." I said under my breath.

"What?" asked Aspen.

"Nothing." I answered back as I walked away from my now destroyed car. Aspen went to pick up the dog and I ran up to help her.

"We need to be quiet, my mom could be inside." I said. Aspen nodded. She knew that my mother, June Lennox, was abusive and very shitty.

I opened the door to the house and we crept inside as quality as we could. My mother was passed out on the couch with the Kardashians show on. We kept walking until we made it to the back door, which led to the backyard.

We went into the old shed and put the wolf inside of it.

"She never comes here, so we should be safe." I said. Aspen nodded and we went back inside. She left my house and walked over to hers which was a few blocks away. I went up into my room and changed into some demon slayer pjs. I got inside of my bed and fell half asleep. I couldn't stop thinking about the wolf and where the hell it came from.

After a while I finally fell fully asleep, not thinking about the wolf or anything else in the world.

Then I woke up and realized that there's blood in my car because of the wolf.

"Fuck." I cussed and buried my face into one of my pillows. Tomorrow was going to be a very shitty day for me..
