Rookie's P.O.V.

I sat next to Chris in a dark room full of glowing, human things. He called this room the Control Room and the devices Computers. Humans may be stupid but they sure know how to live easy.

'Sir,' I looked to see one of the guards nervously standing behind us. Even with a human nose I could scent his fear.

Chris swiveled around in his chair to look at the guard. 'What? Can't you see I'm busy?'

'Yes sir. Sorry sir. But - the thing is - they escaped.' the guard fiddled with his hands nervously.

Chris raised his brow. 'They escaped?'

'Yes sir.'

'What room did you put them in?' Chris raised his chin, narrowing his eyes at the guard.

'Uh - the white room sir.'

'Which one?' Chris demanded.

'2 -' he swallowed. '2D sir.'

'The one with the back door?' I asked. I recognized that room. Chris had shown it to me when I first got here explaining that that room was used for experiments on animals, 2C was the one used for humans.

'Uh - yes ma'am.' beads of sweat started to drip down his neck as he looked at Chris' icy glare.

'Let me get this straight,' Chris rubbed the bridge of his nose. 'You put prisoners in a room and only locked the front door, not realizing THAT THE BACK DOOR LEADING TO A CLEAN ESCAPE WAS OPEN?!'

'Uhm,' he swallowed again. 'Yes sir.'

Chris stood up and pulled out a gun, shooting the guard straight in the chest. I now knew that these banging sticks and death rocks were called guns and bullets because Chris showed me how to use one.

'I have idiots working for me,' Chris grumbled and sat down again.

Now was my chance.

I know that Leon, Aspen, and Luna (Chris had explained to me human names did not require a "the" before the word) thought I had betrayed them, but they had it all wrong.

I had come here hoping to find them - and I did - and to see what kind of state they were in - I had done that too - but I also came to see if Chris would turn me back.

I know, I know. Chris this, Chris that, but what can I say? He's actually being useful for once, that is if he'd FUCKING TURN ME BACK ALREADY.

'I would be able to track them if I was a wolf,' I said and Chris looked at me. I realised he still had the gun in his hand.

Oh crap.

Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.

'You mean you haven't figured it out yet?' he asked.

'Figured what out?' I narrowed my eyes at him. What's he talking about?

He laughed. 'You're kidding, right? You could have been a wolf this entire time! Every time you go to sleep, you could have easily woken up again as a wolf, the only reason you haven't is because you're not letting yourself.'

Not letting myself? I've wanted to be a wolf this entire fucking time! How am I not letting myself?

'I only helped you realize the power you hold,' he said. 'Your ability to switch between human and wolf form is incredible, it's up to you how you use it though.'

How does that make any sense?

I stood up. 'I have to use the bathroom.'

Also another word I learned from Chris. Apparently it's a place where humans go to do their business.
