Chapter 12: Good and Evil

Aspen's P.O.V

"Hey, Rookie?" I said, looking up at her.

"Yah.?" Rookie replied.

"Where is Luna? I thought she would be back by now." I said, getting worried about her.

"How would I know?" Rookie asked "Why do you like her anyways.?"

"Because we've known each other since... forever and she is my best friend." I said. "She isn't as bad once you get to know her. It just takes her a bit of time to trust people. She had a rough past."

"Why? What happened?" Rookie asked.

"I don't believe those are my secrets to tell. You should ask her yourself." I replied, with a soft tone.

"But..." Rookie started.

"No buts! You will ask her if you really want to know. But, you can't ask her unless we find her. Come on." I started walking and Rookie followed.

"We've been walking forever!" I said. "Where the hell is she?"

"I don't know, but I am getting BORED!" Rookie yelled

We were both getting annoyed because we have been looking for Luna for 2 whole minutes now.

"Maybe she's ba--" I started, but heard a scream in the distance.

"Did you hear that?" I asked.

"No, What was it?" Rookie replied.

"I think it was a scream and it kind of sounded like Luna. Wait! How couldn't you hear, but I could? YOU ARE A DAMN WOLF!" I asked.

"Actually right now I am human and obviously I have horrible hearing like one too." Rookie replied.

"Okay, well we should go see if Luna is okay!" I said.

We both followed the faint screaming until it got louder and louder, then we got to the front of what looked like an abandoned cottage.

The abandoned cottage was made of dark multicolor bricks and a navy blue roof. There was a small chimney coming out of the side and the door was small and rounded.

Me and Rookie walked closer to the door, but started hearing laughs coming from inside.. I pushed the front door open to see Luna standing in front of me talking to the 'Shadow Man'.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" I yelled, and ran in front of Luna. "STAY AWAY FROM HER!"

"Aspen! CALM THE FUCK DOWN!" Luna yelled. "He isn't the shadow man, he is his twin. He is the GOOD twin."

"Who's to say HE is good!" Rookie said, crawling in after me..

"DO NOT LET THE DOOR CLOSE!" Luna yelled.

I ran to the door and stuck my foot between the door and the door frame.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because it'll lock." The shadow man said.

"So then let's get out of this crazy place before it does close!" Rookie said, crawling straight out the door.

Luna started walking and then I glared at the shadow man, telling him to stay away from Luna and then I walked out behind Luna..

"So, what the hell happened when you were in the woods?" I asked, concerned.

"Okay, I will tell you the story from the beginning." Luna said.

It took 15 minutes, but she finally finished her story.

"Wow! That is... Eventful." I said, still glaring at the shadow man who's name was Leon.

"Yah... So, your brother is EVIL! That's Fun!" Rookie said, laughing for some odd reason.

Maybe she is corrupt just like... Chirs! I thought. Come to think of it we all are a bit.
