Hello my lovelies, sorry for the long silence, I have several things going on that required more focus. Thank you so much for all your support, votes, comments, reading my stories. I really appreciate all of your support. Unfortunately, requests are going to remain closed a while longer as I have a lot of things going on at the moment.

Sonny watched as you danced to the music playing out of your stereo speakers, the volume was high enough that he could feel the bassline in his ribs. He leaned against the doorframe as you danced your way through your lounge. A growing smile made its way onto his lips as he watched you move carefree around the room. You came to a stumbling stop when you saw him watching you before recovering and dancing towards him. Holding out your hand, you grasped the one he offered before pulling him into the middle of the room still dancing. Sonny pulled you closer, changing the dance into one that had you in his arms. The finished dinner sat forgotten on the table as the pair of you danced.

The next day Sonny still had a smile on his face as he reminisced the way you had felt in his arms. The pair of you had danced until the dinner had gone cold. When he had gotten into the squad room, he had had the same lovestruck smile on his face. That day was thankfully slow and mostly spent doing paperwork so Sonny could keep the dopy grin on his face. He mostly hid it behind his fingers, appearing to be deep in thought. The SVU squad knew better, they knew the look that was plain across his face. Sonny bit his lip in order to stop the smile that was threatening to overtake his face as he wrote up his after-action report on one of his cases.

Amanda leaned on the table as the squad had lunch together, she had somehow managed to convince Sonny that it was his turn to buy for everyone. Everyone was gathered around the table in the break room, Barba who was taking a well needed break that Olivia had managed to guilt him into with the help of Carmen. Nick was chewing on a breadstick, swiping through his phone. While Finn was watching the bickering between Barba and Olivia with an odd look on his face. "So..." Amanda drew the word out and managed to gain everyone's attention. "What's got you so sunny, Sonny?" Sonny shrugged, "no idea, what you're talking about 'Manda." He tried for innocence, but he should have known better. "You know what, I'm talking about?" As if to emphasise her point, she waved her hand over him. Sonny shook his head slowly, confused. "You have this dopy, lovestruck look on your face, you've had it since you walked in. So...what gives?" Barba who never missed a chance to rib the young detective, joined the fray. "Well, you've been more puppy like than usual." Sonny attempted to look put out, but he suspected it wasn't as successful as he thought it would be.

"Seriously, what gives?" Amanda wasn't letting it go that easy, Nick looked over at the blonde detective before looking over at the lanky detective. "You have been smiling all day and trying to hide it." Nick paused, "for a detective you're pretty bad at hiding your lovestruck grin." Nick took a bite out of a breadstick as if that cemented his point. "I don't have a love-struck grin." As if to prove him wrong Sonny's phone chimed with a text, he picked it up and an involuntary grin spread across his face when he saw it from you. Barba raised his eyebrows at the smile, "right, I hope you're better lying in interrogations." There were a few scattered laughs from the squad as Sonny attempted to convince them that he wasn't a lovestruck puppy.

The rest of the day was largely uneventful, thankfully no cases came through and everyone was hoping to sneak out early. Amanda and Nick moved to place their used coffee mugs in the break room, Barba was back bickering with Olivia over something. Sonny heard the sound of someone walking in and hoped that it wasn't another case appearing. He turned to check, and it was you. You were dressed warmly to fight of the cold that was sweeping the streets. Amanda noticed how a stylish young woman approached Sonny's desk and she nudged Nick. They both pretended to be in a discussion while watching Sonny smile at you. Nick nudged Amanda and jerked his chin over at Liv's office where her and Barba were watching with an open file in front of them as a prop.

The four watched as Sonny grinned with the same lovestruck look he had had all day; this settled the matter. All of them moved in carefully as not to freak you out. Sonny looked over at his arriving team and his eyes widened. You turned and faced all of them. "Hey," Introductions were made, but to Amanda and Nick's disappointment you didn't reveal your relationship to Sonny. It was Barba who asked the all-important question. "So, how do you know Carisi?" You ducked your head and smiled, "We're dating, didn't he tell you?" There was a teasing tone you used and gave Sonny a bright smile. Amanda now armed with new knowledge about her partner, seized it with relish. "No, no he didn't." She tilted her head with a smirk, "when did you two start dating?" You shrugged a shoulder, "A couple weeks ago." Amanda sighed a little, Nick grinned a little. You looked at each of them, "what is there some kind of bet or something?" Amanda shrugged one shoulder, "just curious about how you two got together." You smiled, catching on. "Three weeks ago, Saturday night." Nick groaned lightly dropping his head, Barba shook his head, Olivia sighed lightly but Amanda whooped with glee. Sonny shook his head confused, you smiled down at him before lightly telling him, "there was a bet, Sonny."

"There was a bet?" Sonny asked incredulously, Amanda lifted one shoulder dismissively, "I wouldn't call it a bet really." Finn lifted his hands, "All we said was that whoever was right would get to pick dinner for the week. Amanda was right." Sonny still had a shocked look on his face, his Italian/Staten Island accent got thicker with his disbelief, "that's a bet." Benson grinned at the young detective; Barba was smirking in the way he did whenever he won a case. "Well it's not like you're were any good at hiding it." Benson looked around at her squad, "besides we're all with the exception of Barba, detectives, it's kinda our job to know." Amanda pushed off her desk, "I'm thinking Chinese, for dinner. Carisi can pay, considering he's kept a secret from all of us." Sonny stared open mouthed at his partner as Nick chuckled walking towards the exit. Finn clicked his fingers, "I like the sound of that." The squad followed the southern belle as she led them out. You turned to your boyfriend, lifting yourself up onto your tiptoes before kissing his cheek. "I'll help pay for it." You dropped down, taking his hand, and leading him out to his squad.
