Jay leaned back slightly and looked at you, his elbow resting on the small lip of the window, his index and middle finger against his lips. You unbuckled your seatbelt and grabbed your bag from the back seat. "Hey, we still on for tonight?" He asked as you placed your hand on the handle to exit his car. You leaned close to him and smiled, "scary movies with my strong handsome cop to protect me and a mass of sweets to enjoy? Absolutely." He grinned and kissed you. You responded to his kiss, with gentle passion as he cupped your cheek with his hand to deepen. His lips left yours and he went to reconnect them when a handful of fallen leaves his window. Jumping you both pulled away and looked over to see Will, giving you both an unimpressed look. "See you tonight." You whispered, kissing his cheek, before opening the door and exiting the car. Jay waved to his brother, and backed out before driving off. Will stood beside you on the footpath and smirked at you. "Oh, shut up." You moved towards the ED. Will fell into step beside you. "Jay prank you yet?" You shook your head. Will smirked once more, "Jay likes to pull pranks at Halloween, I do to, but Jay's a little more competitive than I am." You snorted, "I doubt that. You're both as bad as each other." Will looked offended, and quickened his pace as did you.

Will led the way into the ED, you shouldered your bag against the chilly wind that swept through Chicago. Entering the waiting room, you smiled at the nurse who was sitting at the front desk, she was wearing a witch's hat. Fake spider webs complete with fake spiders, pinned along the lip of the desk reinforced the idea that it was Halloween, along with the bowl of sweets on the edge of the desk. Entering the busy ED, you could see the small decorations put in place to give a little bit of sanity to the almost insane work environment. The decorations hung above the doors, black cats, witches, pumpkins, a headless horseman, were among the many decorations. Wisps of cotton, masquerading as spider webs along the side of the nurse's station. Some of the nurses were wearing witch's hats, others had different animal ear headbands sticking up. You smiled at Maggie who had wisps of cotton tangled through her curls, a spider was painted on her cheek. Dropping your bags off in the doctor's lounge, you pulled out a headband with a white and silver angel halo, it settled behind your ears. The halo shook a little as you opened the door, your stethoscope around your neck, white coat flapping as you shook your arms, stretching them so that the sleeves lay flat.

You left the doctor's lounge and headed to the nurses station. Catching sight off Connor Rhodes who was reading a file outside a treatment room. He looked up, before looking over at the nurse's station, he caught sight of you and smiled. Conner handed April the file he was holding and asked her to do something, she nodded and headed your way. You looked over at April who had coloured beads woven through her hair. They made soft clinking music as she turned her head. "Doctor Rhodes asked that I give this to you, he would like your opinion." You smiled, "thanks April, I love your hair." She grinned at you before moving to help Doctor Choi. Will was beside you, pirate hat placed on his head. "I cannot believe, Goodwin, let us do this." Will shook his head as he spoke, the feather bobbed with his movements, he opened a folder and began scanning its contents. You shrugged, as you flipped open your own file. Maggie looked over at you both, "I think she wanted to do something nice for those spending Halloween in the hospital." You smiled, "it's a good idea." Moving off with your folder, you headed towards treatment room three.

Flopping onto the couch in the doctor's lounge, you untied your hair and removed the halo. You massaged your scalp before leaning back and closing your eyes. The couch dipped with someone else's weight. You opened your eyes blinking and promptly snorted with laughed as you took in Will's glittery appearance. "What happened to you?" Will pouted, "Jay pranked me, all in the spirit of Halloween, apparently." You giggled as the orange and black glitter twinkled in the light, and as occasional flecks flew from Will's face and hair. The door opened and you both turned see who it was. Connor stood at the door, he looked at Will's glittery appearance and his eyes filled with mirth. He choked back his laughter, "I need a consult Halstead, and nice costume; the glitter suits you." You giggled, pursing your lips when Will gave you an annoyed glare.

Will didn't move just yet, you pulled your hair back tying it away from your face, placing the halo back on your head, you stood, leaving your white coat on the couch. You moved towards, your locker to grab a snack out of your bag. Opening your small safe like locker, a piece of thread attached to a small metal disk was release, however, you didn't notice it. You gasped as powdered paint, similar to what you had used in your childhood fell on you. You look down at your arms which had streaks of powdered paint down it. The red and orange mixed together, it did you noted go with your maroon scrubs. Stifled giggles began to reach your ears and you turned to see Will's attempting to hold in his merriment at your predicament. Connor was having a hard time staying upright, he was clutching stomach with repressed laughter. Tears glinting in his dark eyes. April stood behind Connor, she had been walking past with Ethan both had similar expressions of laughter and shock. Ethan shook himself out of it and pulled April towards their patient. "Will." His moniker fell from your lips, hearing it Will's laughter died on his lips. "It was Jay." He reasoned, before reminding both you and Connor about the patient they had to go see. Will quickly shook as much of the glitter off as he could before making a hasty exit.

You seethed for a few moments before grabbing your bag which held clean scrubs. Goodwin entered after seeing you through the glass doors. "Why don't you go clean up? I get someone to deal with this." She waved her hand and the mess of powdered paint surrounding you. "Don't use water, it'll just turn into paint." Goodwin nodded. Ducking out the other door of the doctor's lounge you made your way quickly to the bathrooms, which held showers for the staff to use. You took a while to get it out of your hair and off your skin.

Arriving back at the doctor's lounge, you tossed your bag into your cubby. You saw Jay arrive and you opened the door to the lounge and waved him over. "You, I need. Come here." Jay looked at you weirdly, taking in your damp hair which had been pulled back, and the stained angel's halo, which you were still wearing. "What's wrong?" You looked around. "Close the door." Jay scrunched his eyebrows together, "I didn't do it." You stepped back as he held the door open. "Close the door." Jay looked confused and apprehensive as he entered the room and allowed the door to swing shut. "Will did it." He told you cautiously. You rolled your eyes. "Shut up." You looked around once more, Jay pursed his lips slightly and raised his eyebrows when you met his eyes, "babe what's going on?" Concern danced at the corner of his eyes. You raised your own eyebrows, "You showered glitter on Will." Jay looked confused, concern disappearing from his face. "No." He told you slowly, "I've been at the district all day." You faltered, "So you didn't prank Will or me?" Jay shook his head. "Someone pranked you? How?" laughter edged his tone. You glanced over his shoulder and saw Will's smirking face. "Powdered paint fell on me." Jay smirked a little, you rolled your eyes. "Will." Jay nodded, "He does get a little competitive about these things." You sighed and looked at Jay. "Want to help me get revenge?" Jay grinned at you. "I knew there was a reason, I fell for you." Jay wrapped an arm around your waist and leaned in to kiss you, his lips met yours and you pressed back, it was a chaste kiss. You pulled back danger glinting in your eyes, "my shift ends soon. Want to help me prank your brother?" Jay's dangerous smirk was all the answer you needed.
