Danny shut off the car as he and Baez arrived at their new crime scene, once they got out; he spotted his kid brother who was standing along the perimeter of the scene. Danny headed over to see his brother, "hey, you know what happened?" Jamie looked over his shoulder at the covered body and the other officers circling the scene. "Woman in her late thirties, she had a diplomatic ID on her according to the paramedics who pronounced her. Didn't see who with. The other detectives called the embassy, that she works for. Other than that." Jamie shrugged. Danny sighed, "thanks kid." Danny headed over with Baez, who thanked Jamie as she passed him.
As Danny was talking to one of the detectives who were passing the case to Danny and Baez when a car pulled up. Danny turned to look; it was a town car. It seemed to be the one of the cars from an embassy. "Who's that?" Baez asked as a young woman exited, her dirty blonde hair was tied elegantly back; a few wisps framing her face. Danny had slight feeling of déjá vu when the woman turned, and she looked familiar. "I don't know." He and Baez headed over to talk to the woman who had appeared as she reached Jamie and another uniform who stopped still when he saw who the woman was. The other uniform came over and told Danny that a "Mrs. Kwon" wanted to talk to him. Danny ducked under the tape and stopped when he saw the slight swell of the woman's stomach showing she was about four to five months pregnant; this knowledge came from his experience with both of Linda's pregnancies. "Mrs. Kwon..." Danny began before the words died in his mouth, prompting Baez to look at her shocked partner and his younger brother. Baez was about to ask the woman why she was here, when Danny hugged her and she laughed. "Baez, this is my younger kid sister, Y/N, the youngest of the Reagan clan." When Danny released her, she hugged Jamie once they had finished hugging him; she turned and shock Baez's hand. "I'm Jamie's twin."
Danny jerked his chin at his sister's stomach, "when were you going to tell us? When you had the kid?" Jamie now noticed the swell of his twin sister's stomach. "Sunday dinner." Was your pithy reply, "I just came back from working in an embassy in Korea, I moved there after college. I got recently got reassigned here along with my husband. I work in management." Baez grinned at the female Reagan, she could see the similarities between the young woman and her brothers. Other than similar looks, she had the same demeanour as Jamie, angelic personality hiding the iron will she shared with Danny Reagan.
Y/N's phone rang, holding her hand up to silence her brothers which caused Baez to snicker quietly. "Sangie..." You paused and looked at both of your brothers who snickered themselves at your nickname for her husband. You slipped into Korean, annoying your brothers as they couldn't understand your conversation with him. After hanging up, you turned to face your brothers "I hope you'll keep me informed on the progress of the case." Danny raised his eyebrows, before Baez answered with an amused lilt to her voice, "certainly, Mrs. Kwon." Your lips twitched upwards, "please Baez, we've known each other for years. Call me Y/N." Baez took the hug that was offered, "in that case call me Maria." You grinned at her, before telling your brothers you would see them at Sunday dinner and getting into the town car heading back to the embassy.
Baez and Danny headed to the embassy to talk to those who worked with the victim. As they were leaving Danny and Baez bumped into someone. "Sorry." Danny apologised, before noticing it was Kwon Sangyun, your husband. After a moment of catching up, Danny introduced his partner to his brother-in-law. Sangyun's phone rang, "excuse me, jagiya..." he slipped into Korean as he spoke to his wife.
Danny and Baez were thankful that the FBI hadn't gotten involved on the case, it meant that there was less politics that they had to navigate. The embassy had also wanted to place their own agents to work on the case, however, the agents hadn't ended up working with the NYPD. Baez placed it down you and the Reagan name, Danny on the other preferred the version that they had heard how difficult he was to work with. He did admit mostly to himself and later to a laughing Linda, that it was probably because you convinced the agents that he and Baez could solve it without their assistance. The case was solved with relative ease, just before Sunday, which Danny was grateful; it meant he could spend Sunday with his family and pestering his kid sister about her 'secret' who just came home and as a result was going to attend the traditional Sunday dinner.
The Reagan family, now with two more members than usual. Frank Reagan stated in his gruff tone, "Jamie, why don't you say grace this time." Jamie huffed slightly, before saying grace. As dinner slowly got underway, your father noticed that you were staying away from the chicken that you usually fought your brothers for. "Everything okay with the chicken, Y/N?" You nodded, "not really feeling like chicken, today dad." This gathered the interest of everyone at the table. Your grandfather looked at you, "what's wrong with my chicken?" You attempted to get around answering not wanting to share your news so soon. As your family began bickering about several topics; one of which was about the secrets that each member kept from each other. Danny who was getting most of the heat when the secret slipped from him. "Yeah, well, Y/N's about four months pregnant. So, I'm not the only one keeping secrets." There was a clutter as your family dropped various pieces of cutlery. Danny had the good sense to look guilty at your glare and Sangyun's pointed look. Your father was giving you a disappointed look, not that you were pregnant but more to do with the fact you had kept it from him. "I was going to tell you after dinner." Erin, your sister spoke up next, "why didn't you tell us?" You stood up, "I wanted to tell you all together as a family, and to tell you that we are moving here, and we are still working with the embassy. I didn't want to tell you over skype or over the phone and it wasn't a secret. I also didn't want to tell you until I passed my first trimester anyway. And if you're so concerned about me not telling you straight away, may I remind you all that both Erin and Linda didn't tell anyone they were pregnant till they were four months as well." With that parting comment, you turned on your heel and walked out of the dinning room.
You ended up at the back porch, meanwhile in the dinning room there was a ringing silence. Sangyun began to get up so he could follow you, Henry on the other hand placed a hand on his shoulder and pushed him back down. He stood shaking his head at the family before following you out to the porch. You looked up when a shadow paused in front of you, "hey, pops." Henry smiled at you. "Can I say congratulations?" You leaned on him when he sat beside you, "sure." Henry squeezed the arm that was around your shoulders. "We were thinking of naming him, Sungchan Joseph." Your grandfather chuckled, "that's a good name, strong." There was a cough, you both looked up. Danny stood there, "I'm sorry kid, I shouldn't have told them." There was a pointed cough, Danny glared over his shoulder, sighing, "or assumed that you were keeping it a secret." Erin with Jamie came over, Erin glaring at Danny before smiling at you. "Do you want to come back for dessert?" You nodded and stood up, Henry following your lead. Arriving back into the dinning room, your father stood and moved over to hug you. "My youngest is having a baby." He kissed the top of your head, as the rest of your siblings all jumped in on the hug and you were all soon joined by the rest of the family.
