Will walked around the nurse's station, he fiddled with a pen while reading his new patient file. He flickered his eyes up and watched as you exited out of the treatment room opposite the nurse's station. You opened the door so the orderly could wheel the discharged patient out of the room. You handed some paperwork to the patient's partner, before placing their file back on the nurse's station and reaching for another. You looked up and spotted Will, he caught your eye and smiled. Smiling back at Will, the doors opened, and you turned to face who you thought was your next patient. It was Will's brother, Jay and your twin brother, Greg otherwise known as Mouse. Will sighed, you got to the important question first, "which one of you is hurt this time or are you both hiding wounds as per usual?" Jay chuckled, "your twin's smart, Mouse. We're here to talk to a suspect." Mouse nodded, "but not so observant, this time anyway," he quipped. You rolled your eyes and popped a hand on your hip. "I'm observant enough to notice that you're wearing the same clothes as yesterday, meaning you were with that girlfriend of yours." Jay raised his eyebrows, trying and failing to mask the smile threatening his face. He rubbed a hand along his jaw to hide his reaction from your brother. Mouse spluttered; you gave him your usual wicked grin before heading off to another patient Maggie had called you over for. You threw a look over your shoulder at your brother, Jay whose shoulders were shaking in silent laughter and Will who was biting his lower lip to stop his own laughter.

It was an hour later; you were finishing up with your patient and for the moment the ED was quiet. The waiting room was empty something practically unheard of not that anyone was complaining or even taking about. April was sitting down for the first time her entire shift, working on her patient files. Maggie was checking on the patient files. Natalie was filling out her patient files, as was Connor. Ethan and Will were making sure Baghdad was stocked and ready for the next vital case. You didn't know where Jay or Mouse had gotten too. Ethan and Will stepped out of Baghdad and made their way to the nurse's station.

Your patient headed out the door with April assisting, Jay and Mouse were about to round a corner when it happened. Seconds after April and Ethan had left the building, two young men entered, one was waving a gun and the other carrying a heavily pregnant girl who was unconscious. There were a few gunshots which grabbed everyone's attention, most of the nurses and orderlies ran out the ED. Jay yanked Mouse back behind the wall. "Listen up, no one does anything stupid like call the cops or fight back and we all get out of here!" Jay called April, who thankfully had her phone on her so she could make a quick call to a friend after assisting your patient to their car. He told her and Ethan to get to the café near Med and put Med on bypass for all incoming ambulances. Mouse meanwhile called Voight and hospital security while Mouse and Jay moved to hide in the stairs. With the hospital shut down, they made their way to Sharon's office, who looked shocked when they informed her what was going on downstairs, the reason for the hospital suddenly being put in lockdown. Thankfully they were able to watch was going on, when the group of people moved into the Hybrid OR. Sharon sighed in relief when she was told the other treatment rooms were empty.

Mouse took control of Sharon's laptop, the three of them watched as Will and Connor helped the man place the pregnant girl on the table. Before he stepped back and held a gun on the gathered group. Natalie, and Maggie moved forward to help the girl. "Where's Y/N?" Sharon asked, Mouse made the camera move slowly around the room when he saw you with a gun to your head. Mouse tensed and Jay placed a comforting hand on his buddy's shoulder while he informed Voight what was happening. "SWAT's setting up now, Ethan and April have been moved to the district, hospital is on bypass, had Ethan call that in." Sharon nodded and thanked Jay. "Guys." Mouse got the attention of the others. You were pointing at the girl; Will was nodding along. "Y/N's an OBGYN, she was down here for a couple of pregnant patients." Sharon informed the others. You were shoved forwards as Will took a few steps forward. His hand seemed to brush along yours accidently. Will was pulled roughly round and had the gun placed by his head. Jay took in a sharp breath watching his brother, being held hostage. It was Sharon who placed the comforting hand on Jay's shoulder. You began helping the girl, Natalie was following your orders. Jay noticed while on the phone with SWAT that Will's eyes never left you. Jay also noticed that Mouse hadn't picked up on that detail, as he was worried about you. One of the gunmen collapsed against the wall dropping his gun, Connor moved from his spot to check on him. He pushed the gun away as ordered by the still standing gunman, which was picked up by Will and handed to the guy holding a gun to his head. Connor and Maggie began to patch up the collapsed man. "Looks like he got hit by a bullet and was losing blood." Sharon gave her input. When you looked shocked at the machines that were beeping, you waved at the gunman asking for Will's help. Will was released and he leapt forward to help you.

The girl was weak from the blood loss, but she'd be fine, the baby had been delivered safely. Natalie cleaned him up and placed the baby in small incubator that had been left behind. She turned back to help you. Mouse told the security guard what to look for as Jay handed him, his spare gun and both of them began to make their way down to the ED when they spotted that there was now only one gunman. Connor had pulled the second gunman away from the door and was working on him with Maggie. You were finishing up with the girl with Natalie and Will. The second gunman managed to shake off Connor, but he was leaning against the wall as his legs couldn't properly support him. Connor pulled Maggie behind him and backed the pair towards the wall. Natalie was tugged behind Connor by Maggie when she had finished helping you. Will kept looking at you, out of the corner of his eye.

After being given the all clear from Voight, Jay and Mouse were slowly clearing the ED, they made their way to the Hybrid OR. They peeked in, Connor had both Maggie and Natalie behind him. Will was standing near you as you both made sure that the girl and her baby were okay. Jay made eye contact with you, you managed to understand his meaning from the flicker of his green eyes. You stealthily moved the incubator closer to you. Will seemed to understand what you were doing as he shifted his body to hide your small movements, and Jay ducked back out of sight.

The gunman stepped forwards a little way out of the doorway, he moved to look at his partner and hand him his gun back. He turned and faced his girl and son once more. "Come on Gina, lets get out of her." Will shook his head, "she can't, she's too badly injured, she can't move right now." Gina spoke weakly, "no Murphy." Murphy nodded, "well when you change your mind, go see my aunt, she'll tell you how to get in touch with me and the baby." Murphy's friend was standing a little steadier on his feet now. Murphy looked to his friend once more, and you took the opportunity to scoop the baby into your arms. Murphy took a step forwards you and his son, "give me my son." You shook your head, "I can't do that." There was a split-second delay, before Jay and Mouse stepped into the room, their guns raised. "CPD. Put the guns down." Murphy took a step towards you, Will was quicker, he tugged you carefully behind him, shielding you and the baby. Jay's green eyes flickered at the motion. "Drop the guns." Mouse disarmed the second gunman, while Jay disarmed Murphy. SWAT rushed in and cleared the room. You placed the baby back in the incubator and one of your co-workers helped you check on the girl before moving her upstairs to recover.

After being questioned by Burgess, you were waiting in the doctor's lounge for your brother. Pulling Will's hoodie tighter around you as you waited. Will entered the room and sat on the couch beside you, he pulled you into a tight hug. "You okay?" You nodded, "a little shaken up but I'm good. You?" Will nodded. Mouse opened the door, Jay standing outside. Will noticed your brother's appearance and squeezed your shoulder before dipping his head and kissing you quickly, the kiss was out of habit for him and so he didn't realise what he had done until he reached his brother who had a shit eating grin on his face. Will flinched at his brother's smirk. Will turned to look at Mouse, who had a knowing look on his face before he sat down beside you. Will moved off with Jay following probably mocking his brother.

Mouse sat beside you, "so you're dating Doctor Halstead, huh?" You rolled your eyes, "so you're dating the nurse from oncology, huh?" Your brother stumbled over his words, and you lay your head on his shoulder, as he slipped an arm around your shoulders. "Yeah, we were taking it slow before we told other people. We've both had our hearts broken badly in the past, and we didn't want each other to get hurt." Mouse kissed your hair. "Well as long as he makes you happy and doesn't hurt my kid sister." You huffed rolling your eyes, "you are two minutes older, that doesn't make me a kid, Twin #1." Mouse laughed at the childhood nickname that your classmates had used. "Thank you, twin #1." He smiled, "anytime, Twin #2."
