CHAPTER 35

ZACH buried his head on his wife's chest, feeling ashamed. He heard Thea laughed and it made him blushed even more.

"Hey," untag nito, masuyong hinaplos ang buhok niya.

Hindi siya tumigin sa asawa. Nanatiling nakabaon ang ulo niya sa dibdib nito. He don't even want to show his face here after what happened. He fainted. He fucking fainted just because his wife gave birth.

The moment he saw how Thea struggled, her screams and how he saw the baby, he just can't help but to get nervous and scared at the same time.

He doesn't want to see his wife in that situation ever again.

"Love, look at me," utos ng asawa.

Tila batang umiling siya, tumatanggi.

"Zach, please?"

Doon siya sumuko. His wife is begging for him to look at her. Nag-angat siya ng tingin at sinalubong ang mga mata ng asawa.

Awtomatiko nitong hinaplos ang pisngi niya.

"I'm so proud of you," she murmured.

"Love..." Umayos siya ng upo habang nakahiga ito sa hospital bed. "I was so scared," tila batang sumbong niya.

"I know but I'm still proud of you. Even though you were scared, you didn't hesitate to help me out." Ngumiti ang asawa niya.

Zach let out a sigh and held his wife's hand.

"I have to. How are you feeling? Tell me if there's something you want, hmm?" Hinaplos niya ang pisngi nito.

Halos kagigising lang ng asawa pagkatapos ng ilang oras na natutulog ito.

"I want to eat, I'm hungry," tugon ng asawa.

"Yes, I already prepared your foods, love. It will be here in a few minutes." Saktong may kumatok mula sa labas ng private room pagkatapos niyang magsalita.

The foods has been delivered. Inasikaso niya ang asawa. Kailangan nitong makabawi ng lakas. Giving birth was never easy, he saw it himself. It scared the hell out of him.

He never leave Thea's side. Ayaw niyang kumilos ito. Kinabukasan ay doon pa lang pinayagan ang asawa upang silipin ang anak nila sa nursery.

They are both happy, seeing their baby boy healthy and smiling. Thea cried as soon as she saw Zachary Velasquez— their first born.

Titig na titig ito sa anak nila. Just like the same he did when he woke up after he fainted. Una niyang pinuntahan ang anak niya sa nursery bago pinuntahan ang kanyang asawa.

"Kamukhang-kamukha mo siya, Zach," masayang sambit ng asawa niya.

Ngumiti siya. He already noticed it yesterday. But that smile— his baby boy's smile— resembles Thea.

"I love his smile." Tumingin siya sa asawa, tumitig sa magandang mukha nito, matamis na nakangiti.

His wife looked at him.

"He's so handsome like you," puri nito.

"Yeah?" Masuyo niya itong kinabig sa beywang.

Tumango ang asawa niya.

"He also got your blue eyes. Ang lakas ng dugo mo," masayang patuloy ng asawa.

Muli siyang tumingin sa anak. Totoong malakas ang dugo nila. They inherited it all to his grandfather who married a filipina which is his grandmother. And then his father who married his mother.
