Malacañang Palace
"A certain Maui Marquez was the one who took the pictures and sold it to the press, your grace." Gonzalo told him as they walked together towards the meeting hall of the Malacañang palace. Kasama nilang dalawa si Sir Richard Montez, who is the crown advisor and also his chief of staff.
After the incident during the coronation day, he hastily instructed Gonzalo and his staff to investigate who leaked the photos and the persons behind it.
"Hanapin mo siya, Gonzalo. Once you got him, let him wait in my office at Iñiguez palace."
"Yes, your grace." Madrid nodded at him. Umalis kaagad ito at iniwan silang dalawa ni Sir Richard Montez. They were going to have an emergency meeting with the parliament due to the scandal that happened yesterday. He knew the Prime Minister was furious about it.
And he was, too.
The guards who were guarding the meeting hall's door bowed at him first before opening the door. Pumasok na silang dalawa sa loob. The state secretaries stopped their talks when they saw him and immediately stood up. The last one who stood up was Prime Minister Sto. Domingo.
All of them bowed to him in unison, as respect for him being king.
He nodded at them. He proceeded together with his advisor to the middle seat. Sabay silang umupong lahat sa kani-kanilang upuan.
The Prime Minister let out a frustrated sigh. "From the official announcement with your marriage with Lady Sofia Elena of Snowdon, your public image actually have been improved. With Lady Sofia's family background, it actually helped your reputation for the people to accept you as the new king of the country. But with this ridiculous and thoughtless scandal that you have with a palace maid, Ms. Natalie Villagomez, the public are not very happy about it, your majesty. They even want you to step down now."
"His majesty already took actions," it was Sir Richard Montez who answered for him. Madrid Anselmo remained his calm demeanor during that moment. "The crown staff immediately investigated the matter and the persons behind those photos. Supposed to be, during the charity event at the La Mercedez Hotel, the press people were not allowed to enter premises of the hotel, they were only allowed outside. It was the government who had done the preparations for the event and the crown wondered why such unfortunate event happened. If only you had asked for help from the crown, we could have gladly provided extra security for the King and Queen. As we want to make you remember again, the military is under the King's command."
PM Sto. Domingo was in disbelief at what Sir Montez said. Kumunot ang noo nito. "Well, if your majesty didn't act impulsively and kiss some whore of a maid, then this wouldn't happen and the coronation could have gone peacefully!" The old man raised his voice, enough to cause a commotion. "If your majesty had thought twice before doing that scandalous cheating act then none of this will ever happen!" The Prime Minister stood up, his nostrils already flaring. They could already hear gasps from the other state secretaries.
