St. George's Cemetery
"Anselmo..." Sofia Elena sobbed as she hugged Madrid after Natalie's casket was already six feet under the ground. It was Natalie Villagomez's funeral. Only few people attended Natalie's wake—her, Gonzalo Martin, Madrid Anselmo and Phaedron Lukas.
Last night, they learned about Natalie's suicide. Kung hindi pa nila ipinahanap ni Gonzalo ang kinaroroonan ni Natalie, they wouldn't know about her situation. Gonzalo found Pancho, on the bathroom floor of the apartment, cradling Natalie's lifeless body. Phaedron Lukas was crying in pain.
Fia felt her husband hugging her back as well. He was carressing her hair and she could hear him sobbing too. They were all crying.
They decided to give a Natalie an immediate and private funeral. At least, she deserves the peace.
Phaedron Lukas was just standing, staring down at the ground where Natalie's casket was buried. It was his choice to bury her body that day. Madrid Anselmo, his half-brother and Sofia Elena, his wife, assisted him with Natalie's funeral.
His tears finally had dried up. He was trying to breathe calmly. His mind was spinning with too much emotions. Natalie's dead. The only woman he cared about took her own life. The only woman whom he loved the most was now gone. She can never be resurrected. She will always belong six feet under ground now.
And in the end, he couldn't tell her how much he loves her.
He already bought plane tickets for them to start a new life at Switzerland. Their one chance at life was destroyed because Natalie hanged herself... and it's always because of his family.
He'll be forever haunted by the fact that his family caused Natalie's demise.
And he couldn't even save her.
And he lost his reason to live for.
"Pancho..." It was Madrid's voice. He was never really close with his half-brother. Since they were young, there was always a rivalry between them. Mostly, their father, late King Julian always favored him over Madrid because he was the noble one. The responsible and kind prince. Madrid was always reckless that's why the people loved him more than his brother.
But now, everything's gone to shit.
"All she wanted was to be loved, Madrid." He spoke. He knew Madrid was standing behind him. "All she wanted was that you will fulfill your promise to her but you hurt her like she doesn't matter to you."
