Chapter 28
Mr. and Mrs. Ortiz de Rozaz• 👑 •
Cebu, Visayas, Philippines
Madrid Anselmo and Sofia Elena finally arrived at orphanage located in one of the provinces of Cebu. Kanina, karatating lang nila sa Cebu—and they immediately went to the place of their first stop of the tour. Based on their schedule, they will visit an orphanage in the morning. Beside the nun, was the Mayor of the province, Mrs. Alejano.
Both of the ladies curtsied when they saw them. Sofia then gave each of the ladies a kiss on their cheeks as sign of greeting.
"It's wonderful to see you both here, your majesties," the mayor told her, smiling. Fia smiled back.
"We're happy to visit too. She replied sincerely. Madrid Anselmo was busy talking to the nun as well.
"Naku, sa totoo nga, first time ng orphanage na mabisitahan ng isang royal, usually, the royals do not visit farther places, especially if nasa probinsya na. So we're really happy that you have chosen our orphanage to give a visit."
"This orphanage does not only cater normal children... we mean, we also have children with special needs." The nun told them and they arrived in a certain playroom of the orphanage where the special children were playing. And special children, sometimes, they tend to become wild."
"Minsan, nalulungkot din kami," the mayor added. We all know our society that we are currently living right now, they all condemn, belittle these kind of children..."
Guiltily and pitiffully, Fia looked at the special children who were playing and doing their own stuff.
"Paano 'yung edukasyon nila?" She asked the mayor.
Hindi rin kasi ganun kalikahan ang budget natin—and sometimes, volunteers would be afraid in handling them. Unlike with normal orphaned children where we can enroll them to a public school, we don't have a public school for children with special needs. Kung meron man, it's private and it's expensive."
