"Your highess, Ma'am, his royal highness, Prince Phaedon is here," Mary Jane, announced and curtsied. Duchess Merida looked up at her assistant who was standing near the door of her office. She was currently reading some newspapers when Mary Jane entered.
Her gaze went back at the newspaper she was reading. "Papasukin mo siya."
Mary Jane curtsied one more time and went out. Ilang segundo ay pumasok na si Pancho.
"What brings you here, Phaedron Lukas? You're in-charge of the King's duties, dapat wala ka rito." She uttered without looking at her son. Kumunot naman ang noo niya sa nabasang headline sa isang newspaper.
Her Royal Majesty, Queen Sofia Elena was well-received by the Visayans
"I saw you going out from a restaurant together with the ex-Prime Minister and Lady Violetta of Snowdon."
Merida stopped and slowly moved her head to stare at Phaedron. Her son's forehead was creasing as he stared back at her too. He was giving her an incredulous look.
She took a deep breath and continued to read the newspaper. "What's your point?"
"What are you doing?"
"Everything that I have done, everything that I am going to do, is always for our family, Phaedron." She casually answered. She finally put down the newspaper she was reading on the table and took off her glasses.
"Are you conspiring something with the two of them?"
She clasped her hand on the table and gave him a hard look. "What if I am?"
Phaedron closed his eyes and started to massage the bridge of his nose. "You're fucking insane."
He added, "Madrid, I know, he's doing his own private investigation as well, the death of Papa and Ate Tamara. He will fucking know. Did you murder our father?"
"You're accusing me now, Pancho."
"Then why did you fucking have a little chitchat with the Prime Minister and the Snowdon's matriarch?!"
"Your late father, King Julian, he has his own dark secrets as well, Phaedron Lukas," Merida stood up and her breathing starting to change. Her body started to tremble as she felt her emotions starting to burst.
