Sofia Elena took a deep breath when she was already at the front of the door of the meeting hall. She looked at Madrid Anselmo who was standing beside her as well. He gave her a warm smile and offered his hand to her.
She smiled back and held his hand, intertwining their fingers. It was like in silence, they're in this together. Inside the meeting hall of the Ortiz de Rozaz palace was their own chief of staff, Sir Richard Montez and Lady Helena Zuñiga. Yesterday, she finally had chosen her own chief of staff—Lady Helena. Like Sir Richard Montez, Lady Helena Zuñiga is expert in internal and external affairs of their country. Mamaya, pag-uusapan nila ang tungkol sa magiging tour nila sa bansa. As what her husband's chief of staff explained to her, they need to tour around the most important places in the country so the people can still know that the Crown is still with them and for the people. Especially now that the government is in dispute with the Crown and the upcoming reelection for the Prime Minister position.
The people needs to know that despite the dispute, the Crown is with them and the Crown will still continue their own responsibilities to the country.
Magkahawak-kamay silang pumasok sa meeting hall. Lady Helena and Sir Richard both stood up the moment they saw them. Lady Helena curtsied while Sir Richard bowed his head after as a sign of formal greeting.
"Good morning, your majesties." They both said in unison.
Madrid looked at Fia and nodded. Binitawan nito ang kamay niya at hinayaan siyang maupo katabi si Lady Helena. Madrid then went over to Sir Richard and sat beside him also. Now, they're facing opposite to each other with a long mahogany table in the middle.
Sir Richard scoffed, "Uhm, let's start our meeting. Tomorrow, we will start our tour. The tour was suggested and was agreed by our governor generals during an official meeting with his majesty yesterday. The tour is very vital especially for the King as well as to you, my Queen," Sir Richard glanced at her. "With some of the people forming rebellion to defy the Crown, kailangan natin ipakita sa mga tao na matatag pa rin ang palasyo. Despite the dispute with the previous government, we need to show them that the Crown will always be loyal to the people. And how? By touring all the important places in this country."
Lady Helena nodded in agreement. "Yes. I and Sir Richard already arranged your schedules, your majesties," ipinakita nito sa kanila ang folder. "These are the series of events that you're going to attend and do while visiting a place. The mayor or the governor general of that place will assist us. Our first stop tomorrow is Cebu. We're going to stay there for a day then Iloilo, Negros, Leyte. Then we go to Mindanao..." She continued narrating all the places that they were going to visit during the tour.
