Ortiz de Rozaz palace
"Your majesty, the King." Sofia could hear the palace maid announcing the arrival of her husband. Fia couldn't even get up and stayed at the bed, lying down. She wasn't feeling well, almost every day. She could hear Madrid Anselmo's footsteps towards her.
Last night, sa Iñiguez palace itong natulog dahil may importanteng meeting itong isinagawa doon. She was fine with as she also wanted to be alone last night, especially because of her doctor's visit, confirming her pregnancy.
"Fia." Naramdaman niyang umupo ito sa tabi niya. He kissed her forehead. She smiled. Her husband always smelled nice. "They told me you weren't feeling well."
She tried to open her eyes. Bumungad sa kanya ang mukha nitong nag-aalala sa kalagayan niya. Ipinulupot niya ang mga braso niya sa leeg nito. "I love you. Happy Birthday." She told him softly. Today is his birthday. Alam din niyang magkakaroon mamaya ng magarbong selebrasyon para sa kaarawan nito.
Her husband smiled warmly and gave her right knuckle a kiss. "Thank you and I love you too, so much. Did you eat your breakfast already?"
"No." Umiling siya. "I am not feeling well. Ayokong bumangon."
"Hindi ko na itutuloy 'yung selebrasyon mamaya. You're making me worry, baby. Babantayan na lang kita rito."
"No!" Kinunutan niya ito ng noo, "Anselmo, pinaghandaan natin 'yung celebration ng isang buwan. Dapat ituloy natin iyon. I'm sure I'm going to be okay later. Hindi pwedeng hindi matuloy."
"What about you?"
"I'm going to be fine," she dismissed him and tried to give him an assuring smile. "You don't need to worry. It's your birthday. It's your day. You should enjoy it. A lot of important guests are coming."
If she remembered the list of invited guests correctly, Madrid invited almost all politicians and statemens. It was a suggestion by his chief of staff as well, Sir Richard Montez, so Madrid could have more exposure with the other respected public officials. They said it was good for the crown, to show that they're still united with the appointed leaders of their country.
Her husband sighed. "Okay. But I will not let you attend the celebration this night. You need a full day rest. I won't let you work."
She giggled. "Para kang si Papa."
"You need to rest, Sofia. I need you to feel better. You will not go anywhere. Kapag hindi pa rin maayos pakiramdam mo bukas, I will call a doctor, okay?" He told her with a hint of authority. She playfully rolled her eyes at him. Alam niyang nag-aalala na ito sa kanya ng sobra.
