The situation you were in, was still just getting to you.

You escaped your house. You defied your parents. You broke out of the little box they always tried to lock you into.

You were completely torn. On one side you felt bad about it. I mean you believed that your parents did love you and they wanted to protect you, you just disagreed on what you needed protecting from. Lucius had already showcased what happens when you go out of your way to rebel and you were quite frightened how much further he could go.

One the other side - a much stronger side, however, this was the most free you felt in ages. It was such an adrenaline rush to you and it made you feel so much more confident. You'd prove it, you didn't need their help. You could go out whenever you liked, no one was there to order you around and no one there to dictate what you could and couldn't do.

Sure, you've done rebellious things in school before. But they were for your friends, or to find out the truth, or to solve the mystery. You've never really been defiant just for yourself. This time you felt like an absolute rebel, and you liked it.

Not all rules should be broken, but sometimes breaking them was so exciting.

On your first day in the Leaky Cauldron you and Harry decided to go to sleep, since it was 3a.m and you were both very tired at this point. You entered room twelve just to find an extremely cozy bedroom. A big red double bed, a dresser, a wardrobe and even a bookshelf, not to mention your own separate bathroom. You didn't need to wait long to get into your pyjamas and fall asleep on the comfortable cushions.

In the morning, Harry waited for Tom to leave and knocked on your door. You, who was already up for an hour before him, dragged him in and the two of you had breakfast together. You had waited a long time to truly openly talk to Harry. Neither of you could shut up, exchanging stories between each other.

Harry told you about how his uncle invited his sister over, how she was an awful woman and the night where he ended up blowing her up. In return you told him about finding the family tree and confronting your parents, then escaping through the window.

Once you finished catching up you both got ready and headed out to Diagon Alley.

Harry Stopped at Gringotts and got his money and you travelled down the streets.

You didn't worry about buying school books just yet, you had plenty of time. What you did want to see was all the fun stuff. You went around all the toy and joke, collecting pranks you would be sure to test on some of the nastiest Slytherin's when you got to Hogwarts. You were especially thrilled to visit some of the so-called 'junk' stores and try to find some of the more interesting items that sometimes got dropped off there.

But your down-right favourite was Twinkle's Telescopes, the shop that specialised in astrology related instruments. You wanted so very badly to buy a large crystal ball with the full model of the galaxy in it, but in the end you had to let it go. You needed to save the money you had for the whole school year. You couldn't imagine having to ask your parents for more now.
