The last few weeks of the holidays were extremely tense. Your parents sat you down right after Lucius' eye was taken care of. Narcissa wasn't happy but was much more sympathetic than him, who was still furious.

"My daughter! Friends with BLOOD TRAITORS and MUDBLOODS!" He yelled at you across the table.

"Lucius!" Narcissa scolded.

"Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!"

You stayed silent. It didn't matter what you told him, you could try to tell him how much you loved your friends and that it doesn't matter what blood or family they're from. But he wouldn't have cared, your opinions on most topics didn't matter, that's how it always was with him.

He furiously stormed back and fourth on the kitchen floor, the hurt eye making him even more threatening.

Truth be told, you were deadly scared of him. But you were also building up a lot of anger.

You tried to stay calm tho, not just cause of your magic but also because your parents would often get even more angry if you showed any emotion except for happiness or repentance.

Draco sat on the opposite side of the table, neither happy nor unhappy, mostly awkward and uncomfortable like Narcissa.

Lucius snapped towards him "Why did you tell us who's she befriending?!"

Draco rolled him eyes "How was I suppose to know? I'm not her guard dog, I don't know who she hangs out with in her free time, we just have some classes together."

He was just lying  of course, he knew exactly who your friends were. You knew your brother cared about you in some ways, it was a genuine act of kindness that he didn't say a thing up until now, since you posed no real threat and he had no reason not to tell on you.

Lucius stopped, sucked in air in a sharp manner and turned his attention to you.

You immediately directed your look to the floor.

"Okay, here is what is going to happen, you will cease all contact with those mudbloods and blood traitors immediately."

You cringed at the name and felt yourself shake, it was all too much and you certainly weren't going to listen to his request.

"Then I will talk to that old fool Dumbledore again and-"

"-No"

Your voice was calm and had a sense of determination. You blankly looked at one of the kitchen tiles while you said it. You honestly didn't know you even said it until you did.

Lucius stopped what he was saying in surprise, for a moment he looked confused like he couldn't believe you actually said that.

He put his hand up shaking in anger. His face was almost red and his eyes and lips narrowed threateningly.
