To your relief you found dating Harry didn't change the dynamic of your relationship, as you worried it might. You were pretty much the same except now you labelled your lunches dates, held hands whenever possible and giggled a whole lot more.
Honestly, you were thrilled. It was certainly exciting to be in your first ever relationship, it was all so new to you. It felt so strange to wake up and realise that you were dating someone, not just someone, but the guy you liked for the past two years. It almost didn't feel entirely real, like it was a dream and you could wake up from it at any moment.
Yet days passed and there was no wake up.
You and Harry were keen to spend every moment together if you could. You spend the first week continuing to visit the shops during the day and stargazing or playing Mini Mini Quidditch, which you had mysteriously started winning...
More and more students were visiting the shops to buy books, robes and other things for the new school year. It seemed every other day you bumped into a familiar face; Lavender Brown, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Penelope Clearwater... the list went on and on. It made you realise the new school semester was going to start pretty soon.
On a certain Wednesday, about a week after you've arrived, you decided it was time you and Harry to get stocked up on supplies too.
You looked over the list you were sent.
It had the typical book list, but also a list of supplies 'if not acquired yet'.
There was one surprising item on that list that caught your attention, and that was the wand.
There was a problem with your wand – your applewood, Kneazle Whisker, 8 and a half inches wand.
You had only noticed this a few nights ago. You had invited Justin to check out your golden edition exploding snap cards with Harry, and it worked fine for a while, but when you tried to explode them for the 5th time your wand malfunctioned.
It sent sparks into the air and jumped out of your hand. Ever since your seal broke you never really got the chance to use it very often, so you hadn't noticed this problem before.
There was clearly something wrong with it and you wanted to atleast discuss it with Ollivander.
You got ready and then ate breakfast with Harry and told him about your plan to which he agreed to enthusiastically. You both finished as fast as possible and headed out.
Diagon Alley was very crowded today, especially near the centre. You and Harry had trouble navigating through the crowds, and your intertwined hands was really the only thing that ensured you didn't get separated by the people wildly running back and forth on the street.
