"More focus Miss Y/N." said Flitwick calmly as you focused your hands on a vase infront of you. You took a breath and then focused on your hands. 'Gently, gently, gently.' you told yourself.

You felt the energy gather in your hands and then...BANG!

The vase exploded sending pieces of it to scatter everywhere in the nearby area.

You jumped a little from the surprise but Professor Flitwick started clapping "Oh great Y/N! Brilliant!"

"Thanks Professor," You said awkwardly "but it was only supposed to crack."

"Well," he responded, "You didn't set the desk of fire and then accidentally flood the classroom trying to put it out like last time, so it's definitely progress!"

You blushed at your past mistakes, they were pretty embarrassing, You smiled though "I do feel like I'm a little more in control now, though I still panic sometimes."

"Yes, it seems fear is your worst enemy," He concluded "Nothing makes your magic out of control more than when you panic. So just stay calm."

He walked around his desk and sat down on his chair. he picked up with quill and noted something down. You sat in the chair across the way.

"So, did you figure out what condition I have yet sir?" you asked hopefully.

So far no one could tell you, not even Hermione seemed to be able to find anything, no matter how many books she searched through.

"Unfortunately, not much luck," He said. He thought for a moment "Though something did occur to me just the other night,"

You listened carefully, a light of hope appearing in your mind.

"Maybe you're the first of this kind." he said.

You looked confused "What do you mean Professor?"

"We, wizards like to think everything been figured out already, but just as there was the first person to catch Dragon Pox, maybe your the first person to have such powerful magic? You might be the first example of some new magic. We can't find it because you're the original source."

You thought about it. This seemed pretty plausible but it definitely made things more difficult. That means there wouldn't be any instructions on how to deal with it, because they have not been written yet.

"That does seem possible." You replied when you suddenly remembered something "Professor there is a book in the library about Domitius Bissette, he's a wizard and he was a lot like me, so maybe I'm not the first."

Flitwick frowned "Possible, you say it's in the library?"

"Yes, I did my own research with Hermione, she took it out in November but we had to give it back three weeks later." You explained "It doesn't explain his powers but they seem very similar to mine."
