CHAPTER 36 - TAKEN

The day at the island...

AMARA

Masaya ang araw na nalibot namin ang iilang sikat na spots ng isla. 

I've been saying this since day one but yes, the waters here are pristine. Bukod sa dagat ng isla, napakalinis din ng falls dito. Sayang lang at hindi namin nasubukang makaligo roon. Maybe soon.

Gusto ko pa sanang maglibot dahil tatlong araw lang ang mayroon kami ni Nikkolai at tingin ko, malabong mapuntahan lahat. Pero sabagay sabi niya naman babalik kami ulit rito pag natapos na ang mission namin. When that time comes, for sure that trip will be much more sweeter.

I blushed at the thought.

Wala pa akong karanasan pagdating sa pag-ibig dahil umikot ang buhay ko sa pagiging agent. Kaya naman bago ang lahat sakin. Those feelings that only Nikkolai made my feel, they're all new to me. Deep inside me, I'm afraid of loving. Maybe it's the trauma from my parents' death.

But he happened... Siya ang una at paniguradong magiging huli ko. I believe in marriage. I'll just hope that his love will last a lifetime. Because for me, I think it will even past beyond lifetime.

Noon, hindi pumasok sa isip kong magpakasal dahil sa linya ng trabaho ko. Hindi ko alam na magiging ganito pala kasaya ang magmahal.

I smiled when I felt his arm wrapped around my shoulders as I watch some series.

We've been watching for quite some time. Hindi na namalayan ang oras dahil sa sobrang tutok ko sa panonood. I'm enjoying the story though he finds it corny and cliche. Whatever.

Saglit na nagpaalam si Nikkolai para lumabas. I nodded at him and fixed my attention towards the screen.

Ang hot niya talaga! That Simon guy! His character can really turn every head whenever he enter the room. Ako lang ba? Simon's physique is also eye-catching. But Nikkolai's toned athletic body is much more... sexy.

Flashbacks of our steamy night and hot kisses stormed my mind.

I giggled. Niyakap kong lalo ang unan dahil pakiramdam ko may mga paruparong naglalaro sa tyan ko.

That man! Kahit wala siya rito sa tabi ko, may epekto parin. Is this normal pag in love ang isang tao? Damn this first time!

Two more episodes at napansin kong wala parin si Nikkolai. It's been two hours. Saan ba siya nagpunta? 

Nagsimula nang mawala sa pinapanood ko ang atensyon. I paused watching and search for my phone. I'll call him.

I went to the bar counter and grabbed my phone. Sadly, the battery's dead. I sighed and went back to the couch.

Babalik din iyon. Masyado yata siyang nawili sa labas.

Kinuha ko ang unan at humiga. Ngayon ko yata naramdaman ang pagod. Saan naman kaya kami bukas? That will be our last day here in the island. I'm thinking of making it memorable for the both of us. What should I do?

Maybe surprise him? At ano naman klaseng surpresa? Great. Wala akong maisip.

Anong oras na ba? It's already passed eight and he's still not here. Maybe I'll go search for him? Or just wait here?

When did I became a clingy woman? Never in my wildest dreams na magiging ganito ako! Is this normal?

I frustratingly combed my hair with my hand and closed my eyes to relax.

Fine. Hihintayin ko nalang siya.

My body's starting to feel sleepy when I heard some footsteps outside. I pushed my body to sit and wait for him to enter the house but he didn't.
